PC issue... PLEASE help =/

Hey guys. i built my pc not even a year ago. nice mother board not sure the brand.

2.96 gig processor

2gigs PC 4000 RAM ddr

ATI 1600pro 512



and the thing is. the dam sound keeps going off on the pc. WHEN i am in a program that is USING sound.

it goes off. then i escape the program. and it works again. or with itunes, sound goes off. i push pause then play again. and it works. this is SOOOO MESSED UP its not even funny. and if i keep doing this. the sound goes off completely and makes a LOUD BUZZING noise and makes me whole pc lagg to hell. its really frustrating. im not sure what to do. please help guys. as i want to play vanguard with sound and not buzzing lag =/

maybe u should try to reinstall ur windows.But if it still doesnt work u should check if ur sound card is damaged oO.Otherwise u should go to a professional and let him see what the probleme is.

umm im PRETTY sure we reinstalled windows and it kept doing it. we put in a new sound card and it sounded fuzzy. so we didnt keep it. the sound card worked on other pc's.... the only other thing we could think of is motherboard. either that or not a big enough watt power supply. which is 450. or the fan isnt strong enough or producing enough cooling.
