PVP in Vanguard

I just purchased Vanguard, but I had a quick question about the PVP??  Are all the servers PVP or only some of them??  And how exactly does it work, is it just dueling PVP??  Just wondering.  Thanks for the help!!

There are 3 PvP servers, they're tagged PvP so you can't miss it. 2 are American and 1 is European. The 2 American ones have different rule sets. One is FFA (free for all), meaning you can kill anybody above level 7. The other one is team PvP some races against another. No dark side and no good side, just races are split up so it would make sense lore-wise. Like no dark elves and high elves on the same team. The European one is also team PvP if I am not mistaken.

Team PvP is exactly that.  But, its a bit more civil than the FFA server.  People that play on Team PvP tend to obey the rules a little more? Kind of.

The VG PVP system is the worst that was ever made. Its the same poor system that you find in EQ2. Furthermore, it is currently completely unbalanced as the game isn't finished yet.



It's just a gank fest, with kids waiting for respawns at the altars so they can gank you over and over again.



If you want good PVP, take a game like Lineage 2, this is serious stuff (and you won't miss the VG RP part in L2 as there is no way you can RP on the VG pvp severs).



- If you like gank fests in kiddies jungle, you will love the VG pvp (if you enter the game with this mentality you can certainly enjoy yourself).

- If you like good pvp, you will hate it. Look for something else, like Lineage 2.

- If you like good RP, VG is what you want, play on a non-pvp server.





It always makes me laugh when I see the server list in EQ2. They actually also have PVP-RP servers. LOL, there's no way you can RP on those servers with all the kids around.
