Harvesting/Gathering

Can anyone point me in a direction as to where I can find (if any) information on the subject .

I am very dissapointed in the harvesting in Vanguard,little "knobs" they call mining nodes which dissapear and re sprout in th same place

Tiddly little shoots of cotton and jute, trees that get chopped and fall in one piece and such a lovely neat chop.

Just needed to get that off my chest

You can go to www.lotro.com and search around in their forums yourself. I don't think anyone has particularly interesting resource-gathering graphics, though.

Yeah, I'd have to agree on this. The last ones I liked were the ones in SWG pre-NGE. What I mean by like is I didn't dis-like them. The harvesting I liked the most was in Ultima Online back in it's first year (not sure if it changed after year 2 or so).

Yeah, I'd have to agree on this. The last ones I liked were the ones in SWG pre-NGE. What I mean by like is I didn't dis-like them. The harvesting I liked the most was in Ultima Online back in it's first year (not sure if it changed after year 2 or so). The crafting system really appeals to me. I like how each job has three professions. For the poster of this topic, the gathering subjobs are Farmer, Forester, and Prospector. Which are herbs, wood, and minerals respectively.

Right. That part I like. It's the gathering of said resources I was more referring to. Course, I really don't have an idea of how it would be better or more "exciting", so I guess I'll just have to be happy until a new way pops up.

Right. That part I like. It's the gathering of said resources I was more referring to. Course, I really don't have an idea of how it would be better or more "exciting", so I guess I'll just have to be happy until a new way pops up. Hopefully when they mean 'farming' I can actually have a field to till, and grow plants in, harvest, repeat.... but I doubt it....



but the grouping of subcrafting jobs will hopefully make an interdependence between all crafters in game.
