endikuendiku Member Posts: 10

Join the forces of good (or evil if thats your thing) and help make the two-headed ogre a reality. It doesnt have to be a joke. It CAN be real.

Already a vast underground movement of gamers has come together as a force for change. You too can take part and make a difference. Don't let your voice go unheard.

Go to

to read all about the ogre cause.
And then post at

to make this dream a reality.

We are all counting on your help!

DUDE it wont happen. 2 people is way to frustrating like what happens if one head deleted his ogre char. How would you walk around? Melee or what happens if you get a total jackass who trys to kill. Their not going to delay the game and beta just to create some ogre that will ruin the game. Thats why you don't see any mmorpgs like that.

I don't see one objection on your little list that couldn't be solved with some ingenuity and about thirty seconds.

I still think its a cool idea.

I know they can be solved but first of all i didn't even list all of them. There are like way more ways where 2 headed ogre can cause a problem. And able to fix my objections aren't kind of things to fix because you can't make someone not be a jackass on the other half or like how would you do moving? Both players get control?

Then they simply let someone else creat a 2H ogre and join to that body

    How would you walk around?

Read the article... they answer that... You just choose who's gonna control the legs, and they walk like you would normaly.

     Melee or

Each player gets control of their arm-head. So well if you had a caster head and melee head, you'd let the melee head use the legs most of the time so they could move around for combat, all the caster head has to do is sit there and cast. The part with it being random selection though, is you may get to melee heads, in which case, still not so bad, you get 2 tanks who are always hitting the same target, which is what you're suppose to do anyways.

what happens if you get a total jackass who trys to kill.

Well you'd know pretty earlier in character creation. Just delete your half and start over. 90% of ppl would want to play the race to team play. The other 10% are griefers who are always looking for a way to ruin games for other ppl.

Their not going to delay the game and beta just to create some ogre that will ruin the game. Thats why you don't see any mmorpgs like that.

As far as the whole concept, no they probably won't try to put 2H ogres in before release. However it would be a nice expansion, yet the only real problem, would be finding an equal counter part for the 2H ogre in the alliance. Otherwise the sides would be a little unbalanced. I'd still like to see that kind of idea take place in an mmorpg, even if it failed when introduced to the game. Aww, and the arguements you'd have would be half the fun. =) "JohnBob: Shake dat a$$ baby!" "Lady: wth, you pervert" "JohnBob: No no, it wasn't me, it was the other head" "Lady: suuuure it was".

I really want the Ogre as a playable race in the future and hope that Blizzard implements them, just make it controllable by one person. None of the share stuff.

If they were to implement the share portion of it then I would like to see it so you can choose whom you are stuck with. That way you could get a friend or a guildmate to go half and half with you.

"Their not going to delay the game and beta just to create some ogre that will ruin the game. Thats why you don't see any mmorpgs like that."

The Two-headed Ogre artwork is in the game already. All they would have to do is (if they went the share route) is to work out those details. I doubt it would be to hard to do. If they wanted them to just be single player controlled then that would cause no problem with the beta or release at all.

Controlled by one or two persons doesn't matter. Two-headed ogres are so stupid their combined intelligence rival that of a teapot.

Then how do you explain the ogre mages? Besides that, most of the ppl out there arn't as smart as a tea pot, yet they seem to do alright for themselves... Somewhat. image

What's lame though, is arguing over it. If they were in the game, would you really care? Just choose not to play one, and would it effect you that much? (the ogre thing)It was a nice joke, but it certainly got everyone thinking.

Dont matter how intellegent a race/class is within a game. It all revolves around how intellegent the indivdual controlling the character is.

Aye, you can have the best character in the game not be able to control him right, have the worst character in the game and still manage better off than the person who "High-End" compared to you.

Just brainstorming on a possible balance to the ogre idea.

Night elves have Chimeras which are two headed. Yes, I know, chimera's are flyers and to pull the idea off they'd need to have their wings clipped, which could be a lore issue.  Maybe give them a short flight ability after they reach level 40...

Or how about an archer riding a griffin?  In WC3, I remember picking up archers with some night elf flying creature(not sure which, pardon my lack of info)  Though this is a temporary duality and would be extremely tough to balance, the idea could hold true in different areas like: A gnome riding on the back of a druid in bear form.

Rock golems exist in WC3... would it be too drastic of a change to give them two heads?  Maybe...

Grrrr... mind blank... I can't think of the character.  The ones that throw Glaives in WC3 that are somewhat similar to a centaur  Though they only have one head, there's a two creature duality in that makeup.

    Input anyone?

2 people playing the same character is just a bad idea in the long run. It's yet another one of those ideas that seem fun at first but a week later has dried up everything it had going for it.

The only thing you could probably hope for is in an expansion they make a 2-headed ogre a playable race but of course only by 1 person.

I think it'd be awesome to try. Although I'd like it if you could choose who your partner is going to be. My friend and I would have an absolute blast roleplaying an ogre that's always at odds with itself. image People have said that allowing that then would allow people to get two accounts to control the whole ogre themselves. Well, I don't see how that's much different than what people currently do now by getting 2+ accounts to play their own team in other games. So I don't think it's something that could be abused. Maybe they could give you the option of selecting someone OR allowing you to get randomly placed with another person. Best of both worlds that way. People that want to play with a friend can do so, and people that want that bit of risk involved with being thrown together with an unkown person can do so.

It's definitely not a character for everyone, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be put in game. If a person doesn't like an idea they can just choose not to participate in that aspect. Play a different race/class if you don't like the two headed ogre idea, don't try to stop others from getting something they might enjoy immensely.

Actually, there's no way to tell whether this would be a bad idea or a good one.  There's no history of this being done.  There can very well be a million theories supporting either side, but they amount to nothing until you try.
