Link? Please elaborate on where you got this information as I, and possibly many others are very curious.

Yeah, I agree.  Where did you get that info?

If true, it would seem odd.  According to Tolkien's lore, there were Dwarves in Ered Luin (sp.?) which is relatively close to the Shire.

as it was stated  in interviews, you start in an instance zone, and from there your port to another instance where 2 races are and then the real world where everyone has its own.

dont want to say to much in fear of breaking nda

Sorry I don't speak German, so I couldn't read it.  And I couldn't glean enough info from the screenies.
  • Its a rather good review in terms of objectivity. If I have time, Ill  give a short summary and post some information here.

I hate the NDA as it prevents you from dispelling nonsense.

Its been stated many times on LOTRO's site(s) that each race starts in a separate zone. Hobbits start in the Shire while Dwarves start in... Ered Luin? Think thats the elves... Anyways, my point is that bit of info you recieved was wrong. Each race starts in a separate area.

  • Thank you for clearing this up. So then the statement that chars of Rohan and Gondor start in the same area is also false I suppose.

That part is true for right now. From what I understand they will be adding the land of Rohan / Gondor at a later date. Starting areas are only by race at this point.

Exactly. I would guess no one here really knows how Rohan and Gondor starting places would work, because the focus of the game (right now at least) is Angmar up above Eriador. I think it would be cool to start in Rohan or Gondor, but I don't know how Turbine would implement it.
