How do pvp titles work?

I recently lost a title and went back down to hunter and I was curious what ratio of wins/losses you needed to hit each title? I have 547 pvp battles with 193 deaths.

You need to gain fame to gain titles, others gain fame at your expense by killing you but your fame suffers.



You gain fame by killing people within 1 title of your own, so if you have no title you need to kill hunters and other people with no title, at destroyer you would need to kill champions, destroyers, and slayers



So that works in reverse also, people within one rank of you who kill you will result in your dropping a rank if you lose more fame than you gain.  Also if you have just gained a rank, then get killed chances are you will lose that rank straight away as you havent built up enough fame.

Titles go in this order:

Hunter

Slayer

Destroyer

Champion

Dreadnaught

Master
