Each State has laws regulating the validity of NDAs and other such contracts. Some states show little concern for NDAs and regularly find them invalid. Should the contract be flawed, it may provide no protection at all. In some states one invalid clause will invalidate the entire contract. (NDA info site)

NDA is not a law like I said before it’s a contract. The law doesn’t enforce the NDA it regulates it. There is a big difference between enforce and regulate, and they’re not interchangeable terms.

There is an old adage that a contract is only as good as the person signing it. One is safer using an NDA with those people of known high integrity and is of little value with person having low integrity. (NDA info site)

NDA’s are mainly used as a deterrent if anything. The complex legal process involved is very costly. Also, there are laws not contracts to protect people. People by law have the right to warn others about an unsatisfactory product. Also, people can counter sue companies for false advertising, which I am sure no mmorpg ever does. NDA’s is basically a company stating “ we know our product is crap please don’t sue us”.

Now this isn’t to say a company isn’t protected. It’s a different issue if a person is stealing coding for example. In closing, people maintain the right to warn others of an unsatisfactory product even under an NDA. Consumer laws are meant to protect us from companies selling crappy products with no repercussions.

    LOL!

You go from posting that NDA is a "joke" and not a law to actually agreeing with me in stating the fact that an NDA if agreed to by parties involved becomes a contract.  That's a new twist on debating.

I am not disputing the fact that NDA's are law.  They are unto themselves not.  However, like I said before, if parties agree or "sign" to the NDA then in fact it becomes a contract.  Which is enforceable by laws.

So basically your original post is flawed and the paradoxical juxtapose between your first and second posts is clearly evident.

Here's an article that may help you understand a bit more lucidly. www.tms.org/pubs/journals/JOM/matters/matters-9405.html

In conclusion will the NDA's here in question be enforced? From a legal standpoint, almost assuredly not.  But will they get you banned from this site?  Damn good chance!

And as another poster wrote, if you can't abide by or feel the need to breach the NDA, then that just shows feeble moral character.

Yes, for those with circumscribed acumen I can understand their boredom.
