MMORPG Sociology Study

Hi everyone

This is my first post on the boards, but I thought I might be able to get some help.  I'm a sociology student at Brown University and I'm currently conducting a research project about MMORPG players for a graduate course.  The project uses semi-structured interviews as a way to obtain data, and I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to talk to me and share their experiences and knowledge about MMORPGs.  The interviews would occur either online or on the phone (or even in person if you live close enough to Providence and are comfortable meeting).   The interviews would take about an hour and any participants would have full anonymity.  Anyone interested can e-mail me at Joseph_Rivera@brown.edu .  Each interview helps my research a great deal.  Thanks for taking the time to read this.

This sounds like a fascinating study. Everyone please feel free to participate if you have the time.

    Kudos to you Joseph.

the last person that posted something like this ended up being dirty... after i e-mailed him ive been receiving an endless stream of emails with downloadable attachments, and they all appear to be from people ive sent before or have sent me. i downloaded a couple and they did nothing, my guess is that were virus type things, so i reformatted.

anyway, youve been warned, im not gonna participate.

Your concern is a legitimate one, but I assure you that I'm a real student who is just trying to finish a research project.  The only real proof I can give you is that you can go to Brown's official website at www.brown.edu and do a person search for Joseph Rivera.  My e-mail address and student status will come up on the results page.

I just ran a student search on the Brown.edu search database. Your name and e-mail address match those given. There you go folks, the worry is over. It appears to be legitimate.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Maximane, and thanks to everyone who's replied so far.  If anyone else is interested I'm still conducting interviews.

I just thought that I'd thank everyone who replied again.  If anyone is still interested, I have a few more interviews that I'll be doing before my final report.  Thanks again, everyone.

Fascinating and cool idea for a study, esp. sociology.  I'm interested for sure image. Btw, good luck.

Jeez, I remember spending hours upon hours in the library doing research for my undergraduate degree. Now you can sit at a monitor with the world at your finger-tips. . .

Don't be bitter Gnarled. Back then didn't girls wear really tight short shorts? Think of the good things. ::::20::
