Chapter 5

Well as I have time left on this months subscription. I decided to go ahead and make some maxed characters on the  test server so I could see what the chapter 5 will bring. As I loved TK, entertainer and crafting. I checked those out. I am disappointed yet again.



The so-called expertise they are giving to entertainers have nothing at all to do with entertainment. Nooooo. It is all about hand 2 hand combat. No, not enouigh to go crazy on anything. Looks like just defensive stuff. Now, what I do not get is if traders do not get attacked then why do entertainers?



Sure they will also get some new dances and songs. Though, I am not thrilled with becoming an acrobat. Nor do I like dancing all over the whole cantina. Entertainers buffs are better now. To bad that entertaining is all they can do.



Spies appear to be getting some of the tK skills. Not enough though to have fun with.



Droid crafter will be getting the ability to make mining droids. As if that is needed? I thought that was what the extractor/harvesters were for?



As for the professions themselves. I have no idea why they have droid builders making weapons. Nor do I understand why a architect would build space ships. It is all screwed up in my opinion. Yup, I know what that is worth.



Anyways, I would not wait for SOE to be fixing the game play any time soon. Seems they are bent on their path to destroy SWG. They cut the game off at the knees. No amount of pleading, cajoling or crying will change that. Such a shame to see a great game come to an end like that.

    Entertainers have two tree's they can put points into.  One tree works on improving their entertaining abilities, the other gives them combat abilities.  Because they have access to combast abilities, they can't have a non-agro thing like crafters anymore (which have no combat abilities).  It's up to you what you want to put points into, and you can spread them out over both trees.

    The mining droids don't actually mine, that's just the name of them, since they're the mining droids you see on Mustafar.  However, I'd like it if they did make a droid module that allowed the droid to work like a harvestory.  Why?  There are two planets that harvestors cannot be placed on, plus sometimes there's simply no room for harvestors due to everyone else already having harvestors where you want yours.

    You seem to be confused about how the crafting professions are grouped:

    Munitions:  Weaponsmith & Armoursmith

    Domestics:  Tailor & Chef

    Structures:  Archtiect & Shipwright

    Engineer:  Droid Engineer, Artisan & some of Weaponsmith

    I'm going with improving entertainer abilities part of the expertise. If I want to be in combat I have my main character.

    I think the expertise looks great!

    From what I saw in the .tre files from the TC download, there's 6 new entertainer songs ;)

    New songs and new dances are in chapter 5.

    Dev Chrysalide gave us previews of the new songs awhile back, they are pretty cool.

    TC Notes for Entertainer

    • 4 new songs are granted as the skills Pop, Boogie, Zydeco and Carnival.
    • Test Center Bug Fix: Entertainers Should now be able to craft the Xantha.
    • Fixed some instances of Nalargons and Omni Boxes telling entertainers that they must unequip their current instrument first.



    • Jaxzy and Freestyle dances now have icons.
    • Old Entertainer Titles have been added back into the profession skill wheel.
