For the buddy key is it ok to download the beta on fileplanet?

It's 6.45 GB and I heard you could just update it to retail. Is that true? It's taken me 2 1/2 days to download so far and its 92% done. I should have asked first but oops. I want to download it somewhere not on launchpad due to it would bring down my trial time a lot.

    The beta client will update to retail, as long as it's post beta 3, which is when they upgraded to SOE servers.  In fact, I'm still running my Beta 3 installation today on retail servers.

    It said January 22nd was the last update for the file. Close to launch so I'm guessing yes
