Worst community ever.

I play online games for its social aspect. If i have to play on my own then why bothering getting an online game? GW community doesnt even exist. The only community interaction is the insane trade spam or naked ele's and rangers dancing in the towns.

After the introduction of Heroes in Nightfall PUGS or player teams have died. Everyone wants to play with heroes. Team work is now only limited to PVP for PVE players its lonely world out there.

Overall this game is very nice but if any new player is looking for real community it doesnt exist. If only you can join a big and alive Guild you can have some MMO experince but everyone isn't lucky. Most of the guilds consist of 4-5 players and Guild is dissolved even before you can blink your eye.

Its a fun game and i think if you like playing Diabolo then its fun because its more like online single player game. Oh and i forgot to mention the most elite community ever. Majority of players in GW are so anti-social i sometimes wonder if they even realise that its an online game and ment to be played with other players. If you want to see it for yourself check out gwonline.net forums and you will see what i mean. The most rude and elitist and arrogant players can be found in GW.

So in gameplay and graphics this game is 10/10 but in community i would say 0. I just wish there were more friendly people in GW. For now i am forced to play with NPC heroes and henchies and i am always alone.

Most of the PvE involves paying off some gold farmer to run you and a couple other people through the dungeon.

Guild Wars is dead as far as I'm concerned.

Sadly, that is not ANet's fault. It's because PUGs suck horribly by definition, so much that you have better chances of survival with crappy AI controlled bots.

I think he means paying runners (which he calls gold-farmers instead) to take him thruu missions.
But I have only seen people sell those type of runs for the missions where you must think to complete it.

You must be seriously retarded to have yourself be run the first time around. :|

Hmm it seems you've had a bad experience with random guilds run by not-so-serious people.

I'm in a small guild with guys who've known each other for a while. It's a blast. And that's the main thing for enjoyable guilds IMO: strong ties between core members.

BTW that particular issue you describe here isn't specific to GW if you ask me.

Bottom line: gather together with IRL people you trust and off you go. Alternatively, scout fan sites and fora for recruiting guilds.

Very inaccurate. Hardly worst community ever. Thus I personally don't like it it's waaay away from the worst.

You must be seriously retarded to wait hours and hours to find people willing to actualy do hard and fun missions, but they are all panzy asses like you and just pay a runner.

Dont you guys realize that its just a bunch of 12 year old kids that move to this game because its free.

I quit playing when all of the serious players quit. Now its just little kids running around naked.

Actually I don't waste time on runners, since just about every mission can be henched and the hardest can be done with a friend + 6 heroes. If you pay runners the first time through the game, you end up learning nothing.

I must say i completely agree with the TS, i played GW on those "beta weekends" and it was fun so much fun that i even bought the game and played it for a while. The 1st weeks it was a super game, had a nice guild to play with, some good and fun PVE, until i hit lvl 20 suddenly the whole game turned into PVP only hardly any PVE. When most people just hit lvl 20 it was quite fun, fast party's win a few lose a few. After being absent for a few months things were really changed took HOURS to get a party going for PVE/PVP and PVE-pugs were quite doable but PVP was a disaster! People got really unpleasant and yes indeed ppl running/dancing around naked showing off their shit.....

GW was a good game until the kids showed up and the thing called "social" no longer excisted it was just a bunch of asses running around. And yes what was mentioned before it became just a single player game with some "henchmen", better off playing Spellforce1/2, diablo, Titan Quest more fun also. People can say what they want about WoW but it has a good community (on horde side)

Right.. This must have been the most stupid thing I've read in this forum (and believe I've already seen alot !!)

GW players are mostly under 12 age and they like to run around naked in major towns?!

GW comunity isnt childish... the worst term that i can came up with is "agressive" to new players and yes maybe a litle (or alot) "elitist".

However if u have the luck to find a serious guild with a fixed aim (the betters ones are GvG or HA's) or maybe just simplers goals (owning factions capitals, raising the max number of characters to lvl 20, whatever) coordinated with a core group of friend who know themselfes in real life u'll have a guild for ages man.. i played alone in the first 2 months of my time in GW until i found a guild that suited me and know even after quiting the game i like to visit the forum and follow their position on the ladder.

You just have to find the right guild. Dont judge the community for what u see in major towns but for what u seen in a very cool guild.

    Peace. Love. Friends. Se.

    LOL??? xDD

Man im in the same guild for 1 year....we have around 100 players and we are in an alliance with other 10 clans with around the same number of players...we do GvG all days and HA too...

I am sure you got caught by Home-made guilds....i mean...those guilds that are made from a noobie player and starts to recruit everyone....

and about the other stuff you told...i just think all opposite...you must know how to play GuildWars....

if you just want community go to a chatroom or a flash MMORPG to chat lol.....guildwars is an online RPG...so RPGs from the meaning are those games that have a story and you participate on it with your character and getting stronger...this game is just like that....its not a grind for level like other games...you know what i mean??

    ok...i hope i've been explicit

    Cheers

Sorry for the double post...but i couldn't resist to reply to this message..

    THIS IS VERY TRUE!!

A person that starts getting addicted to have his/her missions all done by another person...that person just ends up without knowing ANYTHING AT ALL!!.....and besides...whats the fun of being stopped and watch someone else play??...

    just my opinion.....

    Cheers

Well theres basically no way for players to grief you unless you do a lot of PUGs and arent very selective about your groups, so it doesnt really concern me that not all the GW players are great.    Play with friends or get to know people before relying on them!  You dont have to worry about the bad community ruining your experience because they cant gank or grief you.

Play as your fav retro characters: cnd-online.net. My site: www.lysle.net. Blog: creatingaworld.blogspot.com.

Thanks for all your LOLZ and LULZ but have you considered the fact that not everyone gets to join the best and 100+ guilds? And i know what MMORPGS are but you don't have to be a hardcore role player to enjoy MMO. It's all about interaction and community. And the main purpose of interaction is not to have MSN chat but to be able to make better teams and co-ordinate for missions. Now a days i keep the local chat off due to insane spam and abuse going in there. If it was that easy to find teams and join guilds..trust me i wouldn't be here in first place.

It can be hard to make friend's in GW cuz there is so little human interaction. When doing pvp or pve, parties generaly don't talk cuz their too busy playing and don't have the time to type untill they die -_-. Also your only spending about 30mins or less (excluding the elite missions) with these ppl, unlike mmorpgs where your spending hours at a time with a single party. The only real interaction you have is when your in a good guild and you interact with it's members and do pvp and elite missions together.

My spoon is too big -_-
