I've been thinking about shoeing in the money for a new, decently fast computer. I'm currently using a pretty out of date PPC Mac Mini and love macintosh but most of the games that I've been wanting to play ,and have been deprived of for the last year, run on windows (been stuck with WoW and MoM). I'm trying to decide whether it'd be better to customize a nice windows computer with a big display or just go for newer Macbook or Mini.
My dilemma is that I don't know whether an Intel Macbook running Bootcamp would be faster or slower than a fairly nice Windows computer that I can pick the parts and update myself. I can tell you some of the specs I was looking at if need be...
So which would be my best bet? Thanks in advance.

If youve been using a MAC for years and like it, then stick with the Mac and give Bootcamp a go. But if not then go with a PC. Just remember, lifespan of a MAC can be twice and more longer than that of a PC. Id switch to MAC if the gaming support was there, and I dont want to deal with bootcamp.

Mac ---> music editing and heavy graphics work
PC ---> gaming and everything else
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
no point is buying XP now that vista is out buy a copy of vista get the best pc you can afford it will most likley last about 2 years before you need to upgrade but youll still have a copy of vista to install on your (then) new PC
EDIT: about what he^^ said MS arnt that bad most likley Vista will have a service pack out in around 6-12 months to iron out any bugs left over from development. and weekley downloads to fix larger more pressing problems. but as with any software make sure you check for updates (but im sure you know this)
