Hard questions but I hope these can be answered.

I have played 2 mmorpgs’s avidly – EQ2 and EVE. I currently still play EVE .

What I need to know about Vanguard, as objectively as possible is, are accurate perspectives about peoples thoughts on this game.

Unlike D&D online and other games that came out, I get the sense the Vanguard is worth it from the comments vs the comments I have read about D&D.

Please if your first response is: this game sucks or its so uber and not providing details, stay away. I know there are bugs and performance issues but to date, I have never seen a single game released on the market that is not buggy and laden with performance issues.

So  

1. Are the graphics like they are in EQ 1 , EQ2, or better and unique.
2. Is the game play, in particular combat, any good and can anyone describe combat.
3. Will this game go the route of eq2 –  at first everyone hated. Now, people are raving about it and that it got better ver time
4. Is this game a button-clicking-fest (do you just sit back and spamm skils) – another reason I do not like WOW and not returning to EQ2
5. The thing  I LOVED about EQ1 was that you’re ability to survive was dependant on your equipment and items; the skill laden games (that started with City of Heroes) make it a combination of skills and items but in the case of eq2, I feel that items don’t matter as much. I know the EQ2 players with legendary items and better will disagree but to be honest its not the same as how items affected game play like EQ1.
6. I asked this already but will ask again – is the grouping mechanics dependant on Healers being a MUST and are people sitting around spamming LFH?

I would have to rate the graphics for vanguard at about eq2 quality, sence vanguard isnt a zone based games its graphics arnt as high as they could be right now due to not every one have top notch comps.

2) from what ive noticed so far the combat is fast paced, (keep in mind im a lvl 17 dread knight) but in groups killing mobs the kils are fast an fun, the mobs cast there own spells an even suport other mobs atking you. the part of soloing is they did a great job alowing you do this its a bit harder an slow to a point, however they its still really fast.

3)Well for this questioin i can only give you my thoughs an i believe it will the population on the game is already above 250,000 ppl an still growing.

4)its kinda like WoWs an eq2 system, however its more stratigic(spelling bad sorry) kinda hard to explain.

5)They did use armor to really improve characters, going back to my dread knight i have the best armor i can find for his lvl, an it increase str, con, dex an hps. which from when i got it at lvl 13 when i had just plain junk armor after equiping it i was able to kill alot faster an take probly almost 2x more dmg.

6) well hmm groups can be done with out a healer, but it just depends on what your trying to kill, but unlike in all the other mmos out there vanguard made it so healers can do dmg, like for example disiciples(spelling) they are like a healer/mnk they can do decent dps an still heal so there are alot of healers out there.
