help with first PC build

Hey all, I'm having a little trouble here and would like some help. The problem is, I don't know how big of a power supply I am going to need for my build. I read somewhere that too much power could fry your system and too little can cause other problems. I have used a couple of online calculators but i'm not sure if they are right. Here is my component list:

Video: EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP

Motherboard: EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Memory:  Corsair XMS2 2GB 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM 800 (PC2 6400)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775

Hard Drive: Undecided

Also probably running 2-3 120mm fans, dvd drive, dvd/r drive...basics

I have found a great case that comes with a 700W power supply and was wanting some professional or "professional" opinions on whether or not this would suit me or if it would be overkill and i could go with a 550W or something...anyway. Thanks for helping folks

You would want a 550W at the least.  Also, remember that more expensive doesn't always mean "better" shop around, but for the most part youw ant more than 550W.

    Hope this helps.
