looking for an mmo similar to Final Fantasy XI

Ive played Final Fantasy XI for a good chunk of a year and have quit 2 times now.  I'm currently looking for a good mm to play but don't know of any.  I would like one that plays simlar to FF.  I currently have my eyes on LOTRO, but have heard mixed things from the beta.  Any help would be greatly apprecitaed, thanks in advance.

Well, a game very similar to Final Fantasy XI would be Everquest and Everquest 2. Vanguard is also a lot like FFXI, but with a bunch of more features. Lord of the rings online would also be a good choice, but its not as focused on grouping as FFXI and Vanguard.

well there ins't any game that has a system anywhere close to FF, so i am not sure what you mean. There isn't any game that is like FF the only similarities are the need to group to excell in the game. Other then that FF is all on its own.

vanguard is gonna be the closest thing, its still abit buggy right now, but it will have most of what your looking for.



its got a long grind, probably abit longer then FFXI (but there are only 50 levels so the 1-50 time is longer then FFXIs 1-75)

interactive classes, fun gameplay, and nice crafting, also the NM system is similar to FFXI.

Interactive classes, I suppose, but arent all? Games have a habit of being interactive.... its what makes them games.

umm..what system are you talking about? FF is almost a direct copy/paste from Everquest.

If you're looking for a game with similar solid structure and long, in-depth gameplay, then you probably want EVE Online.  It's probably the closest game to FFXI in terms of length and structure.  Other than that, I can't honestly think of any aspects of FFXI to compare to another MMO.
