im deciding to upgrade my computer or just get a new one

i dont really know a lot on how computers work but i need to know if mine is up to par withcurrent computers or do i need to upgrade my current computer specs   its an amd sempron 3000+ at 1.61 ghz and has 512 mb i know i need 2 gb memory which i plan on getting and i need to get a great video card because mine is just a low nvidia 128mb if u can give me more information on what i need to get for my current computer or any ideas or links to computers that can handle upcoming mmorpgs like lothro and warhammer and age of conan coming out
