Fun With Screenshots

Lots of other people have given their two cents about the game, so I thought I'd give mine.   I thought it would be more interesting to do it with screenshots and captions, though.  But I'll spare the 56k'ers and just link them; hopefully image shack doesn't die horribly.



My graphics are custom set - I'd imagine they're between Very and Ultra High.   Most of my shadow options are off or very low, and the bloom effects are off.  Beyond that it's mainly all on high+.

img171.imageshack.us/img171/8562/breetown4cx6.jpg - My only real complaint, graphics-wise, is that the stars look.. fake?  I compare this to Oblivion, which just looks brilliant at night.  LotRO looks passable, but I think it could be better.



img70.imageshack.us/img70/5336/breetown3ds5.jpg - I took this one, like the archers in another picture, because the NPCs look alive.  They don't just stand there looking forward, they move around and talk to each other and while it's not random, it does add to the feel of the game.

img169.imageshack.us/img169/610/dread2ff9.jpg - Dread!  The orange part of my health bar is the effect of the dread - Something like -10% total health for 2 Dread.  Dread can actually get pretty crazy in instances during scripted events and at especially "evil" places.



img70.imageshack.us/img70/7846/dreadmk5.jpg -  Dread!  Notice the edges of the screen - as your dread goes up your vision starts getting funky.  It's pretty cool when you encounter one of the Nazgul.  Unfortunately, I didn't think to SS the Nazgul encounter(s), I'll do that if I make another character.
