Mounts ?

I heard and read a lot of rumors about mounts in AoC, but nothing specific exept horses.

will there be camels one can buy in stygia? Is there an mim lvl for riding feat ?( i have seen a video in which you can see a supposedly lvl 22 char riding around)

 i hope there won´t be mounts like wolves , lion and the like(that wouldn´t fit to Conan) .the big mammoth should only be available in PvE or PvP sieges as living engines of war otherwise it yust looks silly having those things run around town.

The only currently known mounts are horses, camels and wooly mammoths. As you mentioned, the mammoths are there as a special unit intended first and foremost for sieges and other large battles.

They have not said just where the level limit, if there is one at all, to begin riding horses will be.

Don't necessarily count on having it early though, the character you mentioned was about level 20 yes, but it was also a GM pimped out toon that could have just as eaily had every single skill in the game, regardless of class or level.

Wow, that is one hell of a guild site for a game that isn't even out yet Aelf. Are you guys a RP kind of guild ? Just wondering because of the effort displayed on the site would make it seem as if you guys are RP oriented. (Sorry for thread jacking a bit here)

Yes and no. We intend to join an RP-PvP server if it is available at launch, but that is more from a desire to have a lasting and true effect on the game world through various events than an overall bent towards actual day to day roleplay. I guess you could say there is a bit of a difference between acting in character as a group on occaision during major storyline events and acting in character individually. The more mature crowd and the lack of "KoNaNtEhPwNzOrZ" type names are also big perks.



The guild website itself was created by one of my fellow officers, who goes by the name of Drakus. He's well versed in that kind of website creation. The fansite and the forums were set up by our guild leader Redruum (AO players have probably heard of him, or at least his org)

From what I hear, those mammoth thingies wont be in anymore.. Some problem with it's size making it run into everything like the wow tauren kodo.. And nobody wants that, right?

Heh, the mammoth running into everything is a big part of the point of its existance. Having a wave of prehistoric behemoths smashing into and trampling the enemy line is one of the first things I'd like to arrange and see its effectiveness on the field. They are in, but are limited. You can only use the things on a major siege battlefield, you can't ride it for example down the streets of Tarantia.

Camels and horses is what's in from what I've read.

Camels and Horses will be the standard means of transport from zone to zone in AoC (as well as the standard mounts for combat), but you only find Mammoths in Siege PvP. Mammoths will not be available as mounts for getting from zone to zone.
