Digital Download failed, + launcher download failed, suggestions?

I've bought the digital download for vanguard friday, and I tried downloading the different .cab files but each time the data3.cab is corrupted.  Not wanting to try a third time, and since the cab files are worthless without all of them working, I decided to try the other method which is a workaround SOE has posted in their knowledge base, the launcher download.



So i make a new shortcut for the launcher with the game:vanguard addition to the command line.



Also I added the path to where I wanted the vanguard client downloaded.  However, it keeps trying to install it into the C: drive which I have specialized to run windows on a 20GB hard-drive and only has enough space for that.



No matter what I do, the launcer insists on downloading to the C drive and thus, fails.  So I click "reinstall into new location".  What does it do? deletes the old files and reinstalls to the same folder...



Does anyone know a workaround for this? I can't seem to find any answers and online help is closed until next morning.

Why did you bought the digital version? Why made yourself suffer? Isn't it MUCH MUCH easier to just go out and buy it in the store?
