I want my $14.95 back!

I resubbed because i was getting a bounty hunting urge, but what do I find?

Classes very unbalanced;  commando, solos whole camps in one or two shots, while spy cannot kill a single mob with their special strike attack, takes several attacks to kill one of the same mob as commando slaughters wholesale.(get this, the tactic for bount hunting commandos; wait for them to duel, or bring a friend or two)

Apperently, everyone exps in the latest craptastic expansion (not free...yeah, im gonna pay more money just to try out this now crappy game?)

No sense of community....unless you count the auction spamming bots, or maybe the 90 jedi that wanted to duel my lvl 10?

Ohh and obviously, since my account was maxed pre NGE, my charecters arent max level (80 instead of 90), so even if i wanted to try out bounty hunting, i couldnt, since id have to buy the expansion, so i could exp, so i could hunt. FUN!)

Of course, my once uber armor and weapons are now rubbish, but the market prices have inflated so much, i couldn't possibly afford even one piece of good armor.

In conclusion, I want my $14.95 back.

What you don't like AOE spammable dots?

As for the rest of your complaints didn't you already know the economy was in ruins and the nge ruined all things of the previous game including your level?

The market inflated because like my good friend Felton Kel said as the weaponsmith correspondent when the CU was introduced, they "Doubled" the resource requirements to craft.  He then analyzed the impact the NGE's harvesting would have and properly pointed out that it would cause uncontrolled inflation.

Why? Crafters now having doubled resource costs with the CU now had the dubeous issue of having an incredibly difficult time getting bulk supplies of good quality resources.  Meaning, its costing the crafters 100's of CPU to create the same pair of armored pants.  They then have to pass that added cost on.  With the NGE/CU they drove off a bulk of crafters who didn't put into circulation harvested materials at a low cost.  That drove away a lot of the people who harvested raw materials for the crafters.

Crafters before the NGE had a fairly solid control over the economics of there servers.  Standard trade prices where established for raw materials.  Grind quality and Craft quality resource stock piles had been established by those in the crafting trade.   People stock piled rare materials.

What you have now on most servers is an unstable economy with no decay and people relying on looted gear.  Saying anything to the effects of not knowing the ramifications of the CU or NGE on the games "economy" is absurd.  They had the correspondants tell them along with the crafting community clearly state these changes would have really negative long term consquences to the game.

SOE basically is going to have to go to NPC Vendors at some juncture or make it completely loot based because they have so seriously inflated the values of items by not realizing how vital the resource supply side chain was to the games overall health.

Im sorry to say, but Im a firm believer of UNBALANCE and interdependency.

I prefer a system where each class has strengths and weakness, where class A may do well against class B, but not against class C, and class C may do well against class A but not class B.

Unfortunately now, everyone is a tank, healer, damage dealer. Though they still somehow made it unbalanced, but not in the way Im trying to describe, because there is no interdependency. Everyone can heal, buff, tank and deal damage on their own (except spy).

So we have all these players running around wanting to duel everyone 1 on 1, because its a solo game. They complain when they get beaten (Not when they win).

It should instead be acceptable that some classes are weaker or stronger in given areas and need to rely on others to cover that weakness. Every class is beatable by one other class.

Except that wouldnt work for bounty hunters, since they now bounty hunt all classes.

finally someone who agrees with me in Un Balance and interdependency!! Balance is So boring and given the right tools(gear buffs luck) any of those supposive better professions can be beaten..I use Jedi as and example..Most never were one therefore they screamed it was Alpha(yeah maybe Fightclubbed up or pre9) But jedi were very beatable if you knew what you were doing.Jedi had a balance bar all their own called Force. And it drained real real fast..But if i wasnt challenged in a game why would i want to play? Its like getting cheat codes so you can just say you beat it..Dang that sounds so fun..

Galaxies gave each profession strength and weaknesses it was the players job to play upon that..If you wanted to be all offense then well you had 0 defense..If you wanted to be all defense you were a CM's mind nuke Toy..But given all the choices anyone could beat anyone else..But some were too whiney and lazy to figure that out on their own..I loved being beaten by a pikeman lol or even a pistoleer..But werent they suppose to be broken?? Nah they learned to play their template and did it well..And while im at it i want my

540.00 back + all the waste on expansions...No wait i dont want it back cause the first 2 years were kinda worth it..Most fun ive had in agame..they just wont be gettin any more until i see an option for a classic server..

I did actualy, and the work they did with the newbie game gave me some hope (imbalances were still a problem though)

But, much like vanguard, SWGs lowbie content dries up and and at high levels its same old same old.

I've heard that the trial only allows you access to a limited part of the game, and that it is not representative of the state of the game in general.  For those who have done the trial, is this accurate?  I'm not prepared to try it for myself, loggin into SWG evokes baaaad feelings lol.  I'm curious about what I've heard though, so I thought I'd ask :)

I've been on the trial for about 6 days and haven't noticed any restrictions.

I'm free to go where I want, I can trade with others, I joined a guild etc. and I'm now level 26.

So unless there is a huge 'other part' of the game I'm missing, then I'd say the trial has no restrictions.

Arc is probably thinking of the original NGE trial, which was very limited, as they wouldnt even let you off the noob space station back then (probably because they released the NGE unfinished, and needed time to complete the spoon-fed content known as the Legacy quests, and didnt want any potential customers seeing how crappy the game really was once you got into it, especially at higher levels).   They have since allowed trial users to leave the station, and explore the rest of the game, but imo thats only because they've finished the noob content up to a point where not many could grind past that in the time given during the trial.
