Salvage Kit Question

lobeslobes Member UncommonPosts: 127
I was reading the following web page on the Superior Salvage Kit:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Superior_Salvage_Kit

And it mentions the only difference between this kit and the Expert Salvage kit was the # of uses. Is that correct? If that is the case, then besides pack space, it would not be beneficial cost-wise to ever buy a Superior kit, since the same price will get you more salvages from the Expert kit.

There is no higher chance of getting better salvage from a superior kit? Can any high levels confirm this?

Thanks!

Yes. You can consider GuildWiki a reliable source 99% of times, because it's so famous that an obvious mistake would be fixed in a few minutes. Superior salvage kits only have 100 charges instead of 25, period.

Can any high levels confirm this?
Remember, level 20 doesn't mean "experienced" in GW. ;)

The Salvage Kit will only salvage common crafting materials from items. A Salvage Kit cannot retrieve weapon upgrades or runes from an item, nor can it salvage rare crafting materials.

The Expert Salvage Kit is used to salvage weapon upgrades and runes from items. In addition, when used to salvage for materials it has a chance of extracting rare crafting materials.

The Superior Salvage Kit is functionally the same as the Expert Salvage Kit, but has more uses.
