Lineage in offline-mode?

I'm still waiting for my key to access open-beta. Is it possible to play L2 offline in some way? I played horizons before, there it was possible. Perhaps someone can explain to me, what I have to do?

    No you can't play it offline.

    you can't playoffline mode in any MMORPG...

    You're wrong, it is possible! I played horizons offline for a short time as the servers were down for a longer maintainance. You had to make some changes in some main-files (I don't remember details) and you could fly as an adult and ancient dragon through Istaria. Of course, the world was empty, so no mobs nor NPC's.

    He's right, I played an Ancient dragon before it came out. just change something and you could play pretty much anything. Flying was fun!
