Pre-purchase and online play for Australians- anyone have answers?

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help me. Can the Australians pre-purchase this game? Where?

Will we have to play on the European servers? Seems a bit silly and laggy as well given that we'd probably have most of our traffic go via the US anyway.
