To all the trolls: ... you might just get your wish ...

For the longest time I held on because there were a lot of things happening that most people didn't know about and probably never will.  Don't even think about flaming me because you'll never even know the entire story.  The people that I had faith in turned out to be worse than the Ghetti's because they had the opportunity to see the error of the ways of those before them.  For two months things were really turned around and many of the changes that needed to happen, did happen.  That was until about two weeks ago when things went to shit.

You want the real story of what's going on?

Grand Theft, lawsuit, and FBI investigation are just a few key words that may shed some light.

Yeah, I was a fanboi, but now that they've pissed me off ... I'm about to become their worst nightmare.  Everyone that just made posts complaining will look like little faggoty goblins compared to the pain I'm about to bring.

If you have any grievances against the company to include:

1. Pre-orders; didn't get a refund

2. Contest Winners

3. Anyone who had transactions with the company or were made real, standing promises (no that doesn't include ppl that were just following the game;  you have to prove standing first)

4. If you were a citizen of Endless Ages/MMOLands

Please send this information to bnsivret@gmail.com

In the next few months you will be contacted to provide information regarding your involvement with Rapid Reality.  This information will be used to form a lawsuit against any and all parties affiliated with Rapid Reality making management decisions, providing financing, and currently in administrative positions.

Please spread the word and get this information to ppl you know that didn't get a refund for the pre-orders.  We are also looking into suing for damages above the cost of pre-orders.  Note that this will only work for those that didn't get a refund.

This is for real, we are moving ahead with putting together a lawsuit.  RR will be getting a nice phonecall tomorrow requesting records and a notice of intention for litigation.

    Hey all,



    I got canned today.  It was most likely my internal arguements with the latest round of "They don't need to know." attitudes towards the gamers.



    To those who bashed me:

    What can I say... sorry it ended this way.  Sorry I didn't get a real opportunity to impress you all with what a dedicated gamer can do when working within the company.  I didn't give up till the last minute, and it was my last words to the new bosses while leaving their office: "Just remember, after launch it's more about Customer Service then just Product."  What they do with that advice is, of course, their decision.



    To those who bashed RR:

    I guess you, too, were right.



    To those still requesting Refunds:

    Send them in... send them to anybody.  There's a phone # listed on these Forums... call and go through the directory and get your money.  press@rapidrealitystudios.com is the public E-Mail address listed on the public website, I refuse to sink to the level of handing out non-published.



    To the Admin at MMORPG.com:

    Please remove my MMOCenter Community Manager tag.



    I'd like to leave a few notes for personal members who might read them:

    To those who are interested in Phylon:

    The technology and gameplay are still phenominal!  It's a very promising game with very promising feature sets.  There are still people in the company who care about it and want to make it everything you would want to play.  That's about all I can pitch for it.



    There are still some really great people at Rapid Reality who really love games and gamers.  And I would wish the best to those individuals and their futures and the products they put their love and sweat into... including all the long 10+ hour days and nights spent at the office to make things happen on schedule.  It's more then their work, there are many who it's their passion and has now become their life.  There are several individuals who come to mind who put their work in front of their personal life.



    I have hope they'll change their concept of dealing with outside people in the future still... and I'll be holding onto 1 of my PreOrders for that reason.  I guess I have blind faith... but faith none the less.

    Well, at least now they aren't pretending to give a crap what we think...not that it seems they have for a LONG time now. Sorry you lost your job CG. I was already burned out on RR, but this just makes sure I will never touch one of their titles. If this is what they call customer service, they've got jobs at SOE ready and waiting!

    Jesus!  Can this company get any worse?  I guess the bosses skipped the chapter on customer service when they went through business school.  I have NEVER seen a company make such poor decisions one after the other in my life. 



    CG.......Even though I didnt agree with everything you did, I still saw the big picture on what you were trying to accomplish.  Trying to keep the public happy and your bosses happy at the same time is a battle that cannot be won.  No matter what you do, there is always someone who doesnt agree with what youve done.  The only thing that you can do ( and I believe you did the best you could ) is make as many people satisified with what you have to work with as possible.  Just remember, when a door closes, another one opens.  Now that youre out of your comfort zone, its time to see what youre made of.  Go out there and see what the gaming world has in store for you.  It was your dream to work in the gaming market and dont give up on that dream because of this minor setback.  DONT GIVE UP!   I can see this being a blessing in disguise.  Rapid Reality is a shithole compared to what else is out there.  Collect your unemployment check, sit back for a week or 2 and think about what you want to accomplish and go get it.  When I get  "my dream" off the ground I would be more than happy to give you a job.

    Half the problem is that I don't think they even went to business school or they at least failed or slept through the ethics courses.

    The worst part about the whole thing is that things were on track for a period of time.  I just think the guy that ended up being in charge after the whole chirade became influenced by several power hungry leads, which doesn't make him any better than the rest.  I really hate the fact that so many good people had a good thing going and then got crapped on by poor management and leadership.  The games they were putting together were A+ work.

    To make matters worse: http://www.phylon-online.com  Check it out, now that the gloves are off, you can find Rapid Reality's forum so go and flame!  Tell them what you think of their grand customer service.  They basically suck at life and wouldn't even release the website.  I had to randomly find the damn thing after trying different URL combinations because they thought it was best to keep things low key after announcing that they would be open about things.  The stupid site has been up for weeks apparently.  Great job RR, your stock keeps rising!

    The best part is that they think we're just joking about the fraud charges and the up and coming lawsuit.  I can't wait for the reaction when they get served with the suit.

    I'm not really surprised by this outcome to be honest.  While their concept had a ton of promise, they just didn't keep their community informed of everything going on which is a HUGE mistake in this day and age.



    To those that pre-ordered and want a refund, demand one from the company.  If they refuse, contact your credit card company or paypal if you paid through them and let them know you never received the goods you paid for.  They'll handle it from there.

    Alright, here's the deal.  We do have counsel for how to proceed.  What the company has committed is Fraud and Grant Theft.  Now, we have to wait and see if criminal charges are renderred first because we may be able to run a civil suit following or concurrent with the criminal case.  Its under federal jurisdiction criminally wise because all of us from different states (not even including international customers).

    I'll be out of touch starting tomorrow through next week due to a PCS for the military, but please keep sending me e-mails with your name and whether you pre-ordered or were an EA citizen.  We may have to build two seperate cases, but don't worry, we'll handle the organization of it.

    I didn't get to contact the company because of mandatory training all day today.  They kept us out in the field and I just got in about 5 minutes ago and we're heading back out again.  I'll try to call while I'm on the road, but it may be later than that.  My point is, this isn't a joke and its not just talking tough.  We are going after RR.  The employees who were let go are refusing to join our lawsuit because we want to send a message that its the gamers that are fighting back.  We won't tolerate this type of development and lies anymore.

    If for some reason this forum goes down, refer to http://www.silversunrepublic.com for updates.  We'll be using our guild's resources to plan and organize things for everybody.

    Just checked out that phylon website. Kudos for having the thought to look for it. I would have never even thought to begin the hunt.  My login is also blocked to the forums, so what does that mean? Did all of us that preordered get blacklisted so we wouldn't go flame on the new boards or what?

     

    Luke, I just want to apologize for getting rude with you here a couple of weeks back. I appreciate the effort you made and the fact that you returned my call proved to me, that at least you, had good intentions.

    I wish you all the best in your efforts, if for no other reason that you are rasing awareness about these scam artists. I gave you a hard time, many times but I'm by no means happy that you had a poor experience with RR, especially since you were so dedicted and loyal. Again, I wish you all the best.

    While I would never wish anyone any ill will, in the end you got exactly what was bound to happen. You lied to us just the same as RR did and while yes you can easily say: "I was just following orders." we all know that's been heard before. I do not buy the "I fought till the bitter end" line, not for one second but that's purely personal oppinion as no one but yourself will ever know the truth. I of course wish you all the best in your future plans and hope you can take at least some good out of the experience.

    Damn, I'm glad I got a refund when I did (This is Bissrok, by the way). I knew things were going badly, but I didn't expect all this to happen. God, I really had a lot of faith in this game, too. I defended it long, long after it had been delayed, but I guess the trolls were right, after all. I guess that'll teach me not to put too much trust into a small company like this. I mean, they might have had some great ideas, but I guess they had a lot more f**king terrible ones.

    Well it was a good dream while it lasted. Best of luck to you CG, I know most of the people on TC forums have a good opinion of your ability.

    It's too bad the company didn't give you enough material to show the fans. That would have maid a tremendous diffference in the amount of community support the game recieved. And community support means more investors, which means more employees, which means much more work being done on the project.

    The nail in the coffin was the strict NDA that kept all the fans from being fanatics.

    I hope you get on with a good company that will treat the fans with the respect they deserve.

    I was hoping a little group like RR could bust through the sea of MMO industry giants.  I would love to see an article maybe through MMORPG.COM about the rise and fall of this company. What went wrong and how to avoid such pitfalls. Would problably be a nice read for all those would be MMO designers.

    Hopefully a MMO company with a ethical backbone will see your efforts and give you all a buzz..

    The worst part is that they had the chance to make a huge difference.  The build of The Chronicle that I played was truly amazing and I'm absolutely pissed that ppl won't get to at least try it.  The FPS combat was awesome and would have turned a lot of heads.

    They had the chance, but the new leadership completely dropped the ball.  I would have hoped that they learned from having the Ghettis forced to leave, but apparently not.

    I should be settled in by Monday.  Then we can talk more about what is next.
