Comeing back to try Ch5

Hi all. I quit SWG around 6 months ago because I was mad at the way traders were being treated with the NGE (I was a SW). When I left I allways said I would come back after the "Trader Revamp". Now it is finaly here and I have one question.

I currently have a master SW and and a level 40some Spy on Naritus. I was wondering if I should go back and pick up those characters again or should I start new on a higher population server (no clue what the population on Naritus is like).

I dont have a big deal with starting from scratch, my best memories of SWG were makeing a new character and getting used to what they do. Do you guys have any sugestions on what servers have the best population?

Thanks,

Ifandbut

If you are actually brave enough to pay SOE your hard earned money, and you already have an established toon, you can do a character transfer to a more populated server.

Most people seem to think these servers are most populated :

    USA: Bria or Ahazi

    Europe: Chimaera

I play on gorath, and i have noticed a good increase in population there too, but it is a german server tho.

From day 1 of launch Bria and Ahazi have been the most populated.  Since I haven't played shortly after NGE launch, I am not certain which are the most populated.  They really need to consolidate servers if they want the game to survive.

Bloodfin is very populated. It's also the "unofficial-OFFICIAL" PvP server.

For a populated RP server I hear Eclipse is big on that.

Well I would never recommend just paying for SWG, but if you have a station access account and play vanguard/whatever then SWG is a great game...if you are paying for it exclusively, you may become a bit bitter =p

Naturally, I reccomend Chilastra ;)  Really though, have a look at your current server and see what things are like there first.  If you're not happy with it, then make a new set of characters on another server.

The only other SOE game I have is PlanetSide and I really dont have any intent in playing that game again (good concept but bad lag). I will look into that paied character transfer, sounds like the best option because starting over really sucks for a crafter after you built up a nice stockpile of hi-end materials.

    Thanks for the responces,

I don't think you can transfer resources with a server transfer, as they're specific to the server you're on.

Well I just searched SOE's knowledge base and found out that the character transfer is $50 per character if I want to keep all my items

I think I'd rather start from scratch.

Start a new toon on the server you want to play.

go to the forums and trade items and credits with players.

there are loads of players wanting to trade credits and items from server to server, if you can't save your items atleast you can swop your credits for someone who wants credits on your old server, who knows, might be able to swop out some resources too ...

i highly advise against starting new toons, the legacy quest series is about the only way to lvl up anymore.... and it is prolly the most boring questline imaginable.

there are no hunting groups to lvl up anymore, it is a solo game until lvl 90 when, if ur lucky, u can find some ppl to pvp with.  then u will be asked to hold pvp bases for days at a time just to recieve a 5 use stim...lol.  stick a fork in swg seriously, its over.

    SWG ADDICT...clean since the NGE
