after play beta for 15 days and now the stress test with server full here my review.
Graphics - 9.5 ---- better then most games out there and don't need 5k comp to run the game
Fun - 9 ----- Quests are very well done cities realy have life.
Sound- 9.5 ---- its amazing
Community- 8.5 didn't run across jerks but its beta so we never know.
Performance/Lag- 9 no lag at all game runs very smoth, most then ready for release.
PvP- monster play its a blast, much better then the same old same old pvp

The game is alot let instanced than ddo, but still is zoned and instances. Alot of quests, same as in ddo, require you to go single player in to instances to complete quests, turbine seems they just cat get away from insancing everything.
To all the people that say this is like wow. Do not belive them, this game has nothing in similarity with wow. The game is just missing something, it just dosnt have the Xfactor., it all just seemed a little to boring. I see you didn't ever bother to try it or your opinion will be diferent, ans yes it is PVP there is a player playing that monster char.To all the people that say this is like wow. man tubine must be trully paying you to hype their boring mmorpg disasaters up. Turbine should never again be allowed to waste millions of dollars on the mmo scene again. Infact turbine should be castrated for producing such mediocre titles.

this game like most mmo is ram heavy..my son machine with 1 gig of ram before the stress ran ok but during the stress became unplayable where my machine with 2 gigs of ram ran smooth the entire time .....unlike some other games that has huge server side memory problems
So if during the stress test you had problem playing I feel that you may want to look into buying more ram if possible for your machine
As for fun...once you get out of the starting city and get to the other parts of the game the FUN level jump leaps and bounds up
As for class choice this also decides greatly on your fun ...so please pick the class you think you will enjoy not the class you think others will need to group with.
As for being the next huge mmo..like WoW and L2...gods and heroes and WAR will if nothing else give it a run for the next top mmorpg.
Most guilds that I know from EQ and WoW say they plan on going to Gods and Heroes So well have to see what happens by next winter to see who the next big dog.

Fine, so you don't like it, but there is no way you can relate this to DDO just because turbine made it. And it is not boring. I think you just have no sense of fun other than mindless grinding. If you want mindless grinding and want to focus on the numbers of an MMO then yes, this game is probably not for you. Why? Because it focuses on creating a fun experience. Many of us beta testers find fun in just looking around and exploring. It would probably help if you understood the grandeur of Middle Earth (not talking about size here).

personally, I think the game is excelent in so many ways. Im not here to say that its gonna give any other game a run for their money or anything to that nature. thats truelly for the masses to decide and to be honest, most of the masses that are really supporting the top games that are in super high subscription lvls... well those people most likely dont post here lol
it only makes sense to me that this game will be a hit for the fact that their are soooo many tolkein fans who are game fans who will maybe try their first mmo with this one. theres nothing wrong with that. Im sure there are peeps out there who are gonna say "oh great, more newbs in mmo world that have NO idea what mmo's are all about..." to these people I say to thee: welcome the new, respect the old.

Nope, they tried the GW approach and it backfire in their faces. They also didn't include open areas at the time. Although, they've add more area since then most players will tell you that every dungeon feels the same and area feel like a dungeon.

There is only ONE thing to do in DDO and dungeon crawling. Thanks to high levels, class imbalance and uber equipment, no one really PvP. I watch the lobster during my trial and no one except 3 people were in it. Two of them were high leves and one was a low level who left after being killed in on hit.
Most of the people stayed in harbor, only to leave to level up or buy items. A lot of those guys hadn't even done Redfang quest yet and that was level 3 to 4 dungeon in the Marketplace. DDO promote grinding because in order to get the highest favor and XP, you have to do the dungeons on elite.

Actually, it is looking at the questing system.
The music is great though...then again I'm a big fan of fantasy/celtic type.
I'm playing in the Stress Test right now, and have decided to Pre-Order.
If they would let me pay them to continue after monday I would galdly do so, and this is 2 months from release.

Ahiles is just a troll about LOTRO. He seems to think WoW is just the greatest thing ever made. I don't know how someone can be such a blind sheep, but he calls things in LOTRO boring and non inovative but thinks that they are great in WoW. He also acts like WoW didn't steal ideas from other MMOs. He also proves that he never really played LOTRO since he says it is just like DDO. It is nothing like DDO. The game has a wide open world compared to DDO. Now of course compared to Vanguard the world is tiny, but compared to say WoW the world is pretty comparable. Also, he keeps stating how LOTRO and WoW have nothing in common which I think is pretty funny. The game is very much a copy of WoW but imho placed in a much better world, with nicer graphics and much more interesting lore.

in fact the Engine has had 3 years plus of refinement and tweaking. The thing better perform like a rocketship on super duper grade A rocket gas :P
its an ok game but its not really any better than lets say WoW. The only thing that gives it an edge in my books is that its new.
But graphics aside I see no difference in playing the actual game.
GIven how much they took from DDO and AC2 I expected a bit more than what is there now.
