dunno if u remember the eve-mail rule for trading GTC on game and like that ppl scam other ppl
now is will this new tool ON for trial accounts ?
the old tactic was: get a trial account -----> join in a player corp ---->make a second get him the security status -1 ------> pay the account after 2-3 months ----> scam ppl selling GTC -----> all the isk what u get u put on that alter like reward ----> pod the alter whit your main and get clean money ----> wait to get your gtc sell account banned
and i bet that whit the new system u can make the same
IMO is just a way to get less scams dunno if u remember the eve-mail rule for trading GTC on game

If you read the details of the new system that will be impossable because this is how it works now.
You purchase a code for cash from a good site.........>find a customer and set price..........>go to account section of your toon........>select charecter selling the code........>type down code ........>type in buyers name......> set price.....> send it in eve mail system........>Code gets authenticated by software but not enabled..........>Customer recieves evemail confirming the code is ok and stating the price........> customer has 24 hours to click accept to finish the transaction........> if customer doesant accept its canceled seller gets the code back.
Thats basically how it works cant see how it can be cheated with. So with the new system if you try and sell a fake code it wont even pass pre-selling authentication.
so, as a new player i can't purchase a 20m sp toon to put on my account with iskies?
So you get your 20mil sp toon and buy yourself a nice faction fitted battleship to ahve some fun worth say 3 billion isk. Then a 10 million sp toon comes by in his Drake fitted with tech one stuff worth about 60 million isk and he kills your ship easilly. Thats what would ahppen to you if you brought sucha toon with tons of isk.
Why because he had more experience than you who just brought your way into eve and ahve the experience of a noob. Its that simple really. The only advantage yuo would get is the starting skills were more extensive.
or... since my toon has 20m sp, i can join an alliance like say the alliance formerly known as BOB, or maybe a corp like Rampage Eternal, get a lot of pvp training REAL early on, and kick major booty after a couple of weeks.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
It's been over a year now since CCP began allowing people to sell eve game time codes to people ingame for isk. What this means is people can go out and spend £22 on a 3 month game time code, and then sell it to another player ingame for hundreds of millions of isk. Just a few days ago CCP created a tool that allows players to do this without risk. Now you can offically buy timecodes ingame from other players for isk without the risk of being scammed. Timecodes for isk is here to stay people, EVE as an RMT game is here to stay. And all this after ebay banned virtual property listings. So, if you are thinking about starting up with EVE, but don't like the thought of other players buying their way ahead with their real life wallet, then don't even come near EVE, the entire game is RMT, it reminds me of those korean mmorpgs and their item malls. EVE is 100% based around pvp but when your opponent may have beaten you because he had more money to spend in real life on ingame abilities and items then you really should feel cheated. Of course you'll never know if you were cheated or not, and that's the saddest thing about it. Buying ingame money with real money is cheating, pure and simple. It's like playing a monopoly game with a bunch of poor people whilst you yourself are very wealthy. Even if the poor people start to beat you, no matter, you'll just offer them an amount of real cash that they can't refuse and buy all their hotels and a good bundle of monopoly money for your own pocket too! Also the EVE GM steam sticks of corruption, i petitioned a bunch of very well known isk sellers, i mean, who else can play 20 hours a day farming billions and doing nothing but that? Where do you think all this isk goes? The GM told me he would look into it, but 1 minute later he closed my petition. Don't trust the EVE GMs, or the devs, i wouldn't trust them further than i can throw them, and with good reason.
I lol'd.
Have you played EvE at all?. I doubt it, seeing your ridiculous claims and lack of knowledge.
First, you would know that as a new player, money won't give you an edge of any kind, except the posibility of replacing your ships faster. Seeing that everything revolves in skills and skillpoints. Sure, you have lots of money and then you buy the nicestes piece of equiment you could buy, but what would be the point if you don't have the skills for it?.
And when a petition is closed, its because there is nothing else to say to you, it doesn't mean they are no longer investigating.
Get a hold of yourself, since you more like someone that got his ass handed in a silver plate. What system are you in, I'm willing to hunt you down.
do you play eve? most likely that those buying isk also bought their skilled up character too - hello, money for the win
of course it does take some real life/ingame skill to figure out all this stuff you just bought but there are plenty of places online to find out how to trick out your ship

yeah, i'd agree with you on that, except that i have seen totally the opposite happen, on more than one occasion. but it's ok to have your opinion.
an active player is something a LOT of corps look for, and an active pvper is something a lot MORE corps look for. especially when there are corps that have 'training corps' to train up new players in the ways of pvp and such.

I sort of agree with that belive it or not as for the selling of gametime codes i still feel they are ok as long as the cash goes back into the game [ie the developers]. Much better than some goldfarmers pockets in all reallity.
Reading one of the latest devblogs, it would appear that they will begin selling isk directly from their website soon.
CCP is no longer focused on the community. It is only another internet distraction to which you may opt to subscribe. It is still a pretty good distraction, but I will not call it anything more.
LOL that not even funny its so ridiculouse. They have said NOTHING of the sort and the dev blog was stating the reasons why there ahould be no RMT and there never will be. Atleast get your facts straight m8 before you come on the forums to be negative about a game you know nothign about. BTW game time cards are not really considered RMT.
The tool they just introduced is actually a limiting factor in the whole RMT thing they have going. Before, people could sell and buy multiple timecodes per account, and theoretically resell them for cash again. ISK was the only limiting factor in the buying process.
Soon, CCP will dissalow the sale of GTC's using methods OTHER then the new secure tool. This will limit all buyers to buying for as many accounts as they posess. Turning the code back into cash will no longer be possible.
The next step will be limiting the number of codes someone can sell. This is the hardest part, as CCP needs to choose the limit wisely, so that only a very small percentage of people turn back to the tradiiontal farmer market to buy their isk. Limit too harshly and too many will, limit not harshly enough and the limit is useless. My guess is it'll be along the lines of one to three months of gtc you can sell for every month of account activity. That allows you to buy about 120-150m isk to 1b isk per month. That's the range that covers a huge majority of RMT activity.
Combined with registration of GTC's sold by partners and GTC's traded and used on eve-online.com this should allows CCP to limit some of the excessivity of the RMT dealings in Eve, yet still keep a massive majority of the transactions flowing into their wallet and not impacting the gameplay too much.
Next step after that is using not just gtc's but also Eve-O shop items as intermediate commodity to facilitate RMT. Doing that may reduce the impact of the gtc flood gameplay (further).
As far as selling timecards goes, afaik CCP allows this becuase this game various players from various countries and those people have a hard time finding methods of paying for their account
Until CCP finds a method where EVERYONE can pay for their account they will allow EvE timecards to be sold for isk
and as far as those eBay accounts go, you do it at your own risk
i know a couple of people that were caught with it, one buying an account and one buying isk with his main account
both players were banned no questions asked
personally, i dont really see a problem in buying timecards and selling them for isk, doesnt hurt anyone, only the person actually paying RL money for game isk
