Will there be cross server instances?

^^question. Like in WoW. To have bigger pool of people playing at any given time. What do you think?

    Well i've always thought the more people the better. One of the reasons they did this in WoW was because people were sick of waiting 1 Hour+ in BG queues. Considering Warhammer will have NPCs to make up for the lack of opposition, they may not do this... but who knows?

    Each server probably will be individual, I mean how would cross servers effect war effort scales?



    Its a nice idea and granted cross battle grounds gets people in to them quicker how would it implement in WAR? when ever win and loss in the instanced area of the PvP zone is going to effect the balance of power on that server?

    God I hope they don't, it totally peeved me off to log on to a 'brand new' server with my new character and enjoy play only to get pwned by people who have their characters on a server thats full of gear and items to buy since its been around forever.   

    Considering they have npc fill ins i see this possibly as very small, they didn't do it DAoC plus battlegrounds in some instances actually affect the world...making them cross server could have negative effects on realm balances.

    It just wouldn't work in WAR. It works in WoW because the instnces has no effect on the rest of the world. But the WAR instances are supposed to help you conquer the enemys lands.

    If you're playing with and against people from multiple servers, how do you determine which server gets the victory points?

    And even if you find a system for cross-server victory points: wouldn't it suck to loose your capitol becasue of the bad players on some other server?

    Umm... There are no seperate servers in WAR.  Everyone plays on the same server.

    Umm...Yes, there will be separate servers in WAR. The developers have stated on numerous occasions that the game will be split into as many servers as needed to maintain appropriate population levels.



    Too many players and the server is crowded and can become unstable. Too few players and the server is barren and boring.



    Considering they are probably targeting an audience of at least 500K, how on earth do you think a single game world could sustain that?

    EVE seems to fix it pretty nice. It would probably be possible with one server for all, but it would be pretty stupid. Personally I prefer many servers where each server can build up a really nice community, this may happen on one big server, but not in the same way.
