Warhammer 40k MMORPG

This is something I could get really excited about. At least until they announce they are getting into bed with SOE in any way...

    But they alrady have a publisher - THQ - why would they need to get in bed with Sony.

    If anything they might get EA to host the servers since they are doing the other Games Workshop MMORPG - Warhammer Online.

    The only thing im worried about is that people are going to be overwhelmed by this MMO's storyline, this thing is DARK, and subsequently the MMO will be dark. Throw in just how mind boggingly MASSIVE it's scale and story is... If they pull it off we may well see an MMO second only to WoW.

    I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

    I think it's the perfect time for a dark-themed adult mmorpg that doesn't worry about an ESRB rating. This could be it and it would be very, very cool.

    The Warhammer 40k universe and fiction is  even  bigger than  LOTRO's middle earth.  A developer could really bust open the market with a well developed 40K title.

    when i heard that Warhammer fantasy was becoming an mmo i was hoping they would make a 40k mmo too and my wish has come true. This would be awsome, just think about the pvp with guns, chainsaws, flamethrowers, and who can forget the chaos defiler(if they put that in, it would be so tremendously great).

    i like dark games, i actually really like them. Just like Prince of Persia 2 when it went dark, most hated it cuz it was dark and sissy gay crap like the 1 and 3rd was. I might be able to get into it jsut for the story line

    I simply had to post saying that this is the funniest quote I have ever read in response rumors of a game.  I actually spit up my drink on to what I assume is now a ruined keyboard, upon reading this.  Tally ho, good sir!

    This is a setting I've been longing for.



    As long as they take the Age of Conan approach, making it a dark and adult-oriented game as it should be, this could be fantastic!

    Those are just the miniatures. The story and lore behind the 40K universe is massive spread out in Hundreds of books. It's great.

    I certainly won't sit there winding myself up with anticipation. Healthier to pretend it doesn't exist, and buy it in the shops when it is finally done, no emotional attachment. But with that being said a W40K MMORPG that is dark, fun, and damn well done, would save me heaps of money, I wouldn't get another game for years!!!!
