This isn't a joke thread, they may ruin their games and have nothing worth playing right now but i can say one thing..... their Customer support and tech support i've come across. with other companies i've waited weeks for a reply and in WOW i've never gotten a email response lol. Many other games are even worse like DnL for example lol.
However in all SOE's games i've had very helpful CSR in game and great TSR on the website. They always help me with my problems and even one TSR dedicated 1 hour to my problem i had with EQ2 to work out my GPU was faulty after trying lots of different stuff lol.
Many people complain about not getting answers but tbh i say CS and TS isn't for things like asking help with quests or saying your stuck or asking about a bug etc etc. Those problems are for Forums an bug reports or /unstick.
Anyways this isn't a arse kissing thread but just to say in my eyes SOE atleast get something right IMO.

Well i never got anything solved from a csr, they would look into a problem like a lost pet from my datpad, and then say we have it recorded but cant find out what happend to it, obviously i did not sell it, and give me" im sorry there is nothing we can do for you, is there any other problems we can help you with".
same response several times not just pets, game issues i was stuck in a prison cell on dathomir for near on 2 days before a csr came to release me, bah for every one or two that they helped a few more did not get any heheh.
Now it's 2 CSRs for every player.
I must agree. Despite the fact that SOE royally bungled the development of SWG, I have had multiple great experiences with CSRs. Sure, it would have been better if the bugs I dealt with didn't exist in the first place, but each time the CSRs replaced the equipment lost due to the bug. I'm talking millions upon millions of credits with of items that disappeared. They were always extremely courteous, prompt, and efficient, taking no more then a day to resolve the issue.
Despite my hatred for SOE's development, I will always highly respect their support team.
Also decided I'd note that I haven't played SWG for over two years now. My experiences come from pre-cu.

My experience with the CSR's, with the exception of one guy, was horrible. I tried taking a partcular issue up the proper CSR chain of command as they had recommended because I felt like the line CSR had acted inappropriately. The response I got from the CSR supervisor made clear he hadn't even read my email.
Now the TSRs in SWG did top notch work in my book. Those guys were very helpful.
In SWG I always recieved very good help from CSR's they replaced a ATST that wouldn't come out of my datapad and help me get unstuck once in a very short time wait maybe 5min.
I had very good help from them maybe it was my server Starsider that had good CSR's assigned to it.
I hate what they the DEV's and SOE management did to the game.
Barely 10,000 play now Starsider last time I checked is so empty its a big freaking joke.

SOE has the WORST customer service, EVER.
As a matter of fact, one of the biggest reasons I refuse to play another SOE game is their rude, unhelpful service.
A little story for you:
I had been playing SWG for a year or so when I needed to contact a CSR. I had been given a powerup as a quest reward and went to put it in my vault for safekeeping. I lagged and accidently put it in a slot where a cheap baton was and it attached to it. I certainly didn't want this powerup on a low level baton that I was saving for an alt if needed.
I filed a petition and a day or two later I got a response "There's nothing we can do about it, we cannot take the power up off for you because we do not know if you intended to put it on the weapon" and closed the petition. I filed another one questioning why they could not just take the power up off the baton and give it back to me. I also asked them not to close the petition until I had the chance to respond back. Once again, I received the same canned response with a closed petition.. but this time there was a little line at the end "Do not open another petition regarding this situation or it will be considered CSR HARASSMENT". Since when is trying to get a problem resolved considered Harassment... it's their JOB.
The CS was no better in EQ2. Rude, unhelpful and totally incompetent.
Some wonderful customer service, eh?

There are soooooo many storys to tell about EA and their staff of GM's for UO. Back in the late 90's the GM's you could tell where over worked. We once had a guy who was a known exploter and cheater, who in front of a GM used this splot to get into a friend of mines house, killed my friend and looted his place. The GM stood there, watched and did nothing. This guy was also loved to dupe anything and everything, now he had been playing UO for almost 2 years at that point and he was banned only after he had gotten killed and had taken statloss. Called a GM demanding the GM restore his stats and after she wouldn't told her to do her job along with, well words where used about a womans role ended up coming out of his mouth...
And it gets better! See EA desided that it was to costly to have a in game help staff in the U.S. so much like Dell and other's EA desided that Ultima Online's help and support staff should be outsorced. Yep by the end of 2002 or so most of the UO GM Staff was in India! I loved them, you could call them with anything and it would take an hour for them to get there. And another hour to get them to understand what was wrong. Note this is from me, if you talk to any of the Player Killer kiddies from back in the day they viewed UO's GM staff much like this 'party' that started this war back in the 30's and 40's.
SOE is MUCH better imho. And this is why...
After Rage of the Wookiee's came out I had two quests I was stuck on. Both wanted me to go into Kash Hunting Grounds, one was the norm kill X Amount of Cridders. The other wanted me to kill this Trando for his codes to Avatar Station. The thing was the Quests never updated when I went into the Hunting Grounds. So I could go and kill the Cridders or NPC and it just wouldn't update. After calling a CSR and talking to him about it, he gave me his Email addy, and worked on fixxing this for me not when he was at work. But after he got off work that day.
Here's the thing, you need to clearly tell the CSR/GM/Whoever what is wrong. If you have to make it a 9 page report then do it. Just saying "This is broken fix it!" isn't going to help.
Yeah, for all my hatred of $OE, the in game support CSR's, and the techs were a good group o guys, gals. You did have to be clear in your description though, I never had any negative issues with their help, and they were always helpful and usually prompt to respond.
