AOC Beta?

in Age of Conan: Unchained
AoC is scheduled for release in October of this year. Has beta testing already pass? I been to the site but I see nothing on beta, not even on how to sign up.

    If you can't figure that out, I don't think you should be a beta tester.

    Now why would Freddy, an elite member of this forum, actually want to be helpful? He seems more at home being sarcastic and rude to people in need of assistance.

    You can go to the official Age of Conan forum, on the far left you will see a tab to register.

    They are still in an extremely closed beta, still friends and family, I believe.  As far as I know the only way to apply right now is to join their forums and sign up for the clan of Conan.

    They have not started taking applications yet. 



    I personally haven't read anything about dates pertaining to the upcoming beta.

    thanx daadamo. following your link I quickly was able to find the information I wanted.

    Age of Conan is basically in its Alpha testing stages, however its testers are limited to Funcom’s partners, friends and family. Open Beta applications will be announced in the near future, but no one apart from the development team knows when. Anyone can go to FAQ for more insight information on the subject and more.

    Hi, its a DX10 and DX9 capable game, which means that you can play it on either XP or Vista:

    From the site FAQ:

    11.5 What does it mean to be a Windows Vista launch title?

    This means that we are cooperating with Microsoft in the development of Age of Conan to make sure it takes advantage of all the new gaming specific features found in Windows Vista, the upcoming new operating system from Microsoft. As the first MMO game Age of Conan will also feature DX10 support, which allows us to bring an even more detailed gameworld to the players. The game can also be played in DX9.

    Also read Beta Testing starts summer 07, so look for maybe end of April (fingers crossed) or most likely May if i had to guess.
