Before I play Vanguard, I would like to know a few things about it.
1. If I am only going to play Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, do I have to buy a station access account, or can I just pay the 15 bucks a month for Vanguard only?
2. Are characters deleted after account cancellation?
3. Can you start up your account again if you have already canceled your account?
4. I'm thinking of playing a shaman, is this smart? Are they wanted in groups?
Sorry if these questions are noobish, or were answered before. I think that covers the main things I wanted to know.

I play a Shaman. They're pretty fun, and are viable solo, as well as being group friendly, since they're a healer class.
At 15, you get a quest to choose your spirit totem, which will somewhat define your playing style from that point on. The choices are Rakuur the Wolf, focuses on agility, quickness, etc. A melee dps build, if you will. Gives you a haste buff, wolf pet, snare, and wolf form which is a damn fine run speed boost. Turgurr(sp?) the Bear, which is more of a tanking spec, give bear form, str/con buff, bear pet, and some other stuff. The last is Hayatet, which is geared more toward nukes/heals, gets a Pheonix pet, no idea if they get a form or not. They get an int/energy regen buff.

They remind me a lot of Druids from WoW. And of course Shaman from EQ.
I will say yes for everything but number four.
Shamans are great professions but you never know in the future because Sigil have been balancing everything the last 30 days (nerfing).
However, in terms of getting groups, no one class is easier to get groups. If you ever played FFXI, getting a group in V:SOH is similiar to FFXI. It takes a LONG TIME to set a group up and when you do get a group someone almost always leaves unexpectantly. Many people I know on my server is just playing solo now for an exception of getting some guildmates together and getting a group quest done.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
