Just an idea...

I've been playing the Forgotten Realms series quite regularily now (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights etc.) and I thought it would be a brilliant idea if Black Isle made an online version of these games. Just a thought, wondering what you all think of the idea.

I, for one, would like to see the entire Forgotten Realms put into a huge MMOG, but that would be incredibly large.  If you've never seen a FR atlas, trust me in that it is huge.  Put it this way: Baldur's Gate is a tiny town on the western shore.

The FR worldset has always been my favorite and if it were made into a mmorpg I would be SO there. Would be so cool to play in the areas in a mmorpg that I have played soooooo many hours in in pen and paper D&D games. And Kol, the size4 of the FR world is indeed huge, but also in my opinion perfect for a mmorpg. So many different areas and cities, everything from the snowy wastes of Icewind Dale to the desert towns, forests, swamps, everything you need is there and established. *sigh* got me all worked up now for something that'll never happen. :(

The sheer content of the combined Forgotten Realms library of books could create one of the most elaborate MMOGs in existence. Ahh I share your dreams ;)
