Did a search on these forums, and browsed the official site a bit, but I still have a few questions i hope you don't mind answering. I'm completely new to learning about the game.
1. From one recent thread, I picked up that concepts behind how raiding will pan out is in its infancy; that raid size limits have yet to be decided and that there's only a couple of end-game raiding dungeons in game right now.
Is there now a cemented raid size limit?
2. How do you see the use of DKP panning out in this game?
Essentially I know of only two dynamics from my personal experiences in MMOs; the first being no raid size-limit, zerg-fest and /random dole out of loot in Dark Age of Camelot (ToA days anyway), and the second being pretty much every night I'm my guilds tank of a slave racing for server firsts and endless DKP in WoW.
I imagine LOTRO won't be as demanding as WoW, but not as inconsequential as DAoC. If anyone wants to paint the gray area, that'd be nice.
3. Is there any indication of any kind of static 'tiered' approach to raid progression? By that I mean, complete this dungeon before you complete this one, get this tier of armor before you get this one, so on and so on; all akin to WoW.
Essentially I'm just wondering if LOTRO will encourage guilds to be relaxed and casual about raiding, or tensed and templated towards it; or whatever in-between.

its all up in the air at this point.
they have functionality for 24 players raid size.
I have advocated that raid size should be between 12-18 to ensure that the game doesnt become exclusionary to the lotr fans, like what happened with wow 40 man bs.
of course they can do what they want .
LOTRO will be completely casual toward raiding. One of the main draws for raiding in, say WoW, was the gear. In LOTRO we can get the same level gear from regular group questing and from player crafting. THe only real reasons for raiding in LOTRO is:
1) because you want to
2) To enjoy parts of the game story.
Raiding is in because, as Turbine has stated, they know people enjoy it. Note there isn't a ton of raid content either. Raids are by no means a way, in its current iteration, to gain some kind of statistical advantage over players who do not raid. Additionally, raids have been discussed (which is where I draw most of this information from) on the official (non-beta) forums as well as in interviews which should be linked from the official site.

Turbine has said while, you can bring 24 the raid content can be completed with around 18. Most really good guilds like to try and underman stuff, at least i do in ffxi.
Until the crafting gets upgraded, i dont see it were, raid gear will be on par with other crafted or quested gear. It just doesnt make sense.
So far, i really like everything i see but the crafting.
