Originally posted by Kiamde I like the Offspring as well. once you see them in concert you realize that they arent like every other punk/pop band. As for Metallica...I like their music but I hate them as people. They sue 89 10-20 year olds for D'Ling their music and make 5000-10,000 off each person. As if they didnt have enough money as it is. Money whores.Kiamde
ouch, are you serious? cuz i never dled any of their songs... but i just got a sudden urge to go by some of their cds and uninstall kazaa...
I'm pretty sure Metallica never sued anyone except possibly Napster, they were just really vocal about their opinion of P2P software. The RIAA has been randomly sueing people as you state, for around 5 grand, but only for uploading, not downloading.
Btw, if you live in Canada, there was a recent court decision that basically said lawsuits for P2P are bullshit, so we have nothing to fear up here unless its overturned.
Metallica are still dinks tho.

They did sue people, many people for having Metallica songs on their hard drives in Napster folders. I did a report on it. They sent out several lawsuits and got sooo much money...christ.

1: Incubus - (their S.C.I.E.N.C.E album practically changed the way i looked at rock...) they may not have been out as long as alot of the other big name bands, but their one of the few bands i can actually listen to a whole CD without having to skip anything...
2: RHCP - tried and tested, their still around makin hits today and its hard to find anybody who doesnt like them... even friends of mine who are like 100% rap still find time to throw some RHCP in...
3: TOOL - the 1st rock CD i ever bought was from this great band... actually my dads favorite band ^^... i can remember being like 5 years old and having them blasting throughout the house...
4: APC - my love of TOOL brought me to this band and i wasnt dissapointed when i dished out $14.99 for their 1st CD... Mer De Nom although somewhat awkward in some parts, has to be one of my top 5 rock albums IMO
well there's my top 4 =/...
P.S. glad to see nobody has mention'd Linkin Park ^^... its a sad day in Rock history when LP is considered a "Greatest Rock Band Ever"

2. Black Sabbath. Still being copied after 30+ years
3. Judas Priest
