They do have some events that cater to real world holidays; for example Christmas, Halloween, New Years, and the such.
They also have events from the game world (for example Canthan holiday commemorating "x" event).
Just watch the updates page on the guild wars website and you'll usually find out about a week in advance (sometimes more or less) about upcoming events. Check out: http://guildwars.com/support/gameupdates/ for all that kind of information. They will often post significant new events on the main screen just before you log in as well, so keep an eye out there.
I don't think they will have an Easter event because of religion issues. They probably wouldn't want to "discriminate". For example, they have Wintersday, instead of Christmas (even though everyone knows its Christmas ^^). Then again, could they called it Springday? lol

Same with the Chineese New Year (Only in a few countries) So i'm sure there will be something.

There was no Easter event last year, and I seriously doubt there will be plans to have it this year.
