btw- .. here's a web site I found thats reasonably accurate with respect to character creation. I also suggest you download the e3 demo, it shows creation and some game play.
If they dont have a demo then they must think people wont like it if they get to play it (=it sucks)
They could at least try to trick people like neocron with there offline demo
There is a huge difference between screens/vids and playing
Hardcore players and morons may preorder without trying the game to receive there "special powers"....but there are enough mmo out there with trials... why should a casual gamer gamble on these no trial games?
Actually that link is really not all that accurate, a lot of the powers listed don't exist or are completely misrepresented. I would really not base any character you plan on playing on that. There are some powers in it which are accurate, but overall not really that great. There is an app out there somewhere tho that is really nice, called Hero Planner or something like that.

I looked for a while and got bored, so any more info'd be cool. If you know no more info then that's ok I guess. Can't think of a good way to end this post...

This game is great. I have been playing it for two weeks and I am not close to being bored. People who enjoyed Diablo II will enjoy this game as well...just kill and have fun in a group...you hardly notice you are leveling!

I have played them all. Had uber toons on EQ and Camelot.
I am not saying this is the best game in the world. I am saying this game is just FUN. Is there anything wrong with having fun? haa haa I think not. I have been playing nonstop since preorders got in. The only negitive thing I've heard people say is the fun runs out. Well, lets see shall we? For goodness sakes it's not even been released yet. Lets give it a chance in that dept. I (based on the time I've played) say jump in, the waters fine.
I m only going to state the obvious but i hope some of the people that are not sure if they are going to get the game or not can decide from this. The game just finished beta , to me it seemed like they were more concerened on making a stable good solid game for release rather then content, so i believe and i m pretty sure there will be alot of content to be added it would be stupid not to add it. Will there be anything to do at higher lvls well of course this game is bye far the funnest i have had in any mmorpg and trust me i ve tried almost all of them. The events they could throw at us alone will be enough fun for everyone . The best thing about this game i ve found is a casual player who works alot like me can get in game and have fun right away opposed to any other mmorpg i ve played , trust me people it will be a good game later on and the best is still to come i m sure Cryptic isn t dumb they ll add alot of content i mean hell they made a near perfect game already i m sure they re not going to sit back now and do nothing. Just go get it and have as much fun as were all going to have on release and beyond
I've actually been looking for an MMORPG for a few weeks. Having never participated in one (except the Uru: Ages Beyond Myst beta) and recently cancelling my cable TV subscription, I decided that an MMORPG could be a reasonable substitute for television (less money, equal time sink). After reading through the posts here and the reviews of other sources on-line, I've decided to start with CoH. My other choices were Anarchy Online, FFXI, and DAoC.
All of them look like games I could get into, but the tipping factor was that I also wanted a game I could get into early-on after its release. After reading the reviews and people's opinions here, I'm getting pretty excited about this game.

Even though it's french, it's actually worth looking at.
CoH sucks.....for the same reason SwG sucks
No open beta no trials....
