A bit OT and not everybodies cup of tea but http://stargateonlinetcg.station.sony.com/ is launching next month. Personally I will be using it for my SG dose til SGW releases.

    I'll be sure to check this out.



    After being disappointed by how the Marvel VS Online is being handled, I hope that this game will be playable at least. I've also played Magic The Gathering Online and Yugioh Online. The Marvel VS is a good TCG, but the online game is a PSP port with a ton of bugs, and really no reason to play.

    Oh why oh why oh why???

    Why on earth are they creating an ONLINE card game???  Can't people sit down and play cards in person???  My god, this is insane!!!

    Anyhow enough of that.  I think SOE is just trying to get more blood from a great franchise.  To those who have ZERO social skills this might be a good game for you, since the colour of your skin is probably pale albino white since you haven't seem the light of day in years.  Damn dirty morlocks!

    This game is now in open beta. You can download and get playing right away if you have a SOE account.

    The reason to play is because of the lack of folks playing in someone's area. I now in my area, there is only a few ppl to play M:TG with. So i was really only able to play with my brother or a friend. And after you beat the pants off of them too many times to count, you tend to want fresh blood. As well, there really isn't anyone running tournaments around here either. I can go play the online versions, play with many different people, and participate in tournaments as well. For me and others in my situation and similar situations, it's a great way to break up the monotany of playing with the same handful of people over and over again.

    And the zero social skills and skin color comment can be said of any gamer. And is usually associated with anyone that plays mmorpgs. So if you now or ever have played an mmorpg, guess what? (i know you might be joking, but still, stereotypes aren't cool)

    Also, the TCG aspect is being run by Comic Images. SOE is running the online app. So if you want to stay away from SOE by all means don't play the online version. But if you like TCG's, don't cheat yourself out of a good one. Play the hard copy.
