Seems its always give and take, eh?
Fix the performance, nerf all my equipment to near uselessness. Lost almost 100 str across all my gear since last night. Incredible.

Not me. I specifically said that system performance and bug fixes should be taken care of before they even think about adding content. Doing it this way just doesn't make much sense. You don't add new content while you still have problems with what's already present. People are having performance issues and there are some serious gamebreaking bugs. Adding new content doesn't fix that. It's just adds more to a buggy unoptimized game. They need to get their priorities straight.

Bah, it's not even worth arguing the fucking point. You're gonna believe whatever you want to believe, so yup, you're right. The artists, even though most aren't programmers, should be put to work fixing bugs. All the bug fixes they've had in the patch notes are obviously fakes to cover the fact that the entire development team has been jacking off making up dungeons that were mostly done to begin with.

Like I said would happen the patch added more bugs than it fixed. Just logged in at Themnwars Dam or what was supposed to be the dam. The whole thing is missing along with the road and the majority of quest, vendors and whatever that actually stood on the dam. I crossed the river by going under the world and appearing on the other side. This patch was supposed to be tested. So how is it that within 1 minute of logging in I come across a major bug that affects gameplay? You can believe what you want but it's time to face the facts that VG has major problems and only continues to get worse with each patch.

No, I don't think we should pull the artists away from their sketchbooks and teach them to code either, but even though there are different teams involved, what is presented to the players (ala paying customers) is a broken product that instead of being fixed is just having more broken pieces added on to it. I think they should just slow down their schedule of changes (ie, nerfs) until the game's working more properly, is all.

Its like having a car that doesn't work, gets bad gas mileage, none of the instruments read correctly, no air conditioning, brakes are almost shot, (and so on and so forth) and you take it to the shop and instead of fixing even one of the myriad of problems, the dealership gives you a nice carwash and wax and puts in new speakers. All you really want is for them to fix it, you're even paying them to fix it, but they just keep adding on layer after layer of gloss until finally, you either give up and get used to breaking down on the highway, or you go buy a new car.

    Gaming? That's not gaming!

So you find one bug and come to the conclusion that it added more bugs than it fixed? Wow, you're not super smart are you.

Let me see now. I login and immediately find a bug that was not there before the patch. I think it's pretty reasonable to conclude that this patch added that bug. It was never there before. To answer your question, yes the patch added more bugs than it fixed and a major gameplay bug at that. As far as being smart is concerned you should worry about yourself before questioning my intelligence.

You people will find any reason to complain.

Hahaha!  So how do you explain the lack of bug free patches before this one?  Did SOE do those?  Maybe this is Sigil's first?  Nah, mark my words...there'll be a patch to patch this patch after it goes live (say that 5 times fast).  Sigil's patching ability is not their strong point.

WooHoo!  Did I call this one right or not?  Currently patching the patch.  So much for testing, quality control, and all that jazz.  Sigil couldn't successfully patch their way out of a paperbag.  ROFL!

You seriously need to go outside and talk to a girl. Not in a your not a real man kind of way, but in a get some fresh air kind of way. Why not just make that leap of faith and get a life for yourself, besides this one, where you troll the Vanguard forums every day? I'm actually really sad for you.

One bug?  In a few hours of play, I didn't notice anything new or improved. However, I did notice a handful of bugs. I can only assume that there are likely a whole lot more that I did not personally encounter.
-Infuriating Shot hitting for 1-3 damage, when it used to hit for around 200.

-Fury of Ghalnn, which is primarily a heal, no longer doing any healing at all.

-Gameworld going black and staying that way upon entering water, untill I relog.

-Tone mapping no longer doing anything, at least on my system.

-NPC names fluctuating colors so I can't tell if they're aggro or not.

    -Walking through rocks everywhere.

I died a handful of times to these bugs, and have almost half a bar of red to work off now.  Would it really have done more harm to delay the patch long enough for them to actually test it?
In another thread about this patch,

    - Chunk lines warp you 2km away and have you flailing about in the water drowning trying to /stuck yes.

    - Said warp often results in xp loss and the need for repeated logins to unbork your UI and character model

    - character models randomly change to very amusing things. i once had long silver hair, short red hair, and funky blonde hair all in an hour without changing anything myself.

    - teleporters never seem to teleport you on land

    - boats still dont work

    - memory leak still causes crashes

    - more bugged/non functioning quests than I can conveniently name

    - lost connection to group issues

    - unable to re invite people to groups after said issue

    - healer summon spells summoning wrong party member

    - map doesnt update party locations

    - mobs randomly disappear into the ground and then show as 1km away and then warp to behind you.

    - mobs aggro through walls, doors, floors, and other things that you can't walk through.

    - sometimes you log in and can't talk in guild because it says you aren't in one, when you are.

    - invisible weapons and other items.

    - inventory bug resulting in item loss

    - texture bugs resulting from having many items equip over each other in the same slot

    - mailbox issues

    - window size issues, freezeups with 'fullscreen' guild window, mail window, etc.

    - repair cost funkiness (actually takes more of your money)

    - harvesting tool prices

    - "falling through the world" in countless places

    - countless broken skills across every class

    - crafting quest progression issues, misnamed/misplaced NPCs

    - soft cap damage reduction (NOT fixed) [Example : I have a mage stacked in INT gear. Buffing my INT w/ selfbuff makes me hit for 1/3 as much. Take off buff, damage returns to normal. Tried w/ buff on, taking off a few pieces of int gear, damage was fine.)

    - many mispellings/overlapped text/issues in the UI, quest windows, etc.

    - locations don't update correctly on map for some waypoints

    - compass doesn't update correctly on map for some waypoints

    - bank to inventory bug with items disappearing / moving about

    - various zone bugs (elevators in tomb of tsang, new targ),

    - crafting bug where your recipe list doesn't display

    - various classes 'stance' abilities not working.

And this is just what I could think of off the top of my head that I have personally experienced. I have a high end PC so can't commend on the thousands of performance issues and login issues that I've read about on the tech forums. If I logged on and played for a few hours I'd probably have another list just as long to add. The game is FULL of bugs, anyone who says otherwise is living in denial. Sigil HAS been addressing issues since day 1, they've been doing a decent job at it, and they are dedicated I'll give them that. And we as players are being patient, waiting for them to give us the game they advertised, the game we're paying for. And we're ok with that. But when you start messing with our hard earned equipment and administering the global nerf bat, the big picture comes into focus all the more clearly.

    One bug, huh?

    When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

My friend gave me a buddy key to play this game and I can now say that I am so freaking glad that I didn't buy this buggy P.O.S. of a mmo. In fact, I think I'm gonna go slap him for talking me into trying this game out.

This game simply is not ready and should have stayed in beta for atleast another 6 months.

Hahahah!   A guy with 5,210 posts is telling me that I need to go outside, talk to a girl, and get a life instead of trolling the forums everyday.  Am I the only one seeing the irony in that?  Save your sadness for someone who cares.  In the meantime, why don't you try to keep the personal attacks down, and post about the game.  Or did I post something that you just can't argue with, so personal attacks were your only recourse?  Don't feel obligated to answer that.  We both already know it's true.

This is a "third generation" update.  You guys wanted to level slow and crank up the pain factor. What better way to do that then break the damn game with a poorly implemented patch?
