I have had lots of good and bad info about Vanguard so I'm not sold on it. Can some of you answer a few question
1. Is there and Auction House?
2. Are there trades, like Engineering and such?
3. Are the Graphic as nice as Vanguard or equal?
4. Will there be any housing or People owned towns?
5. Can you take over a town and hold it?
6. Are there lots of clothing. i guess my point is does everyone look the same?
7. How big is the map maybe compared to WOW?
8. What is the money system, gold, silver, cooper all of the above?
8. Anything you have seen that no other game has?
9. I'm sure i can look it up but what is the monthly fee going to be?
thanks for your reply's in advance.

"4. Will there be any housing or People owned towns?"
"At this time, individual player housing is not in the plan for launch. We absolutely see this as an important part of the evolving world after launch and have plans on how to execute this type of system."
Lot's of answers here:

The answer to question 4 is not "No", the answer is "Yes".
There will be player housing, just not at release. Knowing it is on the way is good enough for me.
and for Q6: They have stated a large part of their efforts post-release will be focused on art development, adding more unique armor abd weaponry.
Untill its in game, the answer is no. Lots of games promise lots of things, untill its in the game...it no
To he OP, if you spent even 2 minutes on LOTRO's forums, you could have had all your questions answered and more. You probably spent more time writing your post than It would have taken to look it up yourself . Besides....I think you would like to see more aboutthe game right? Check it out....there are screenshots, detailed answers and discussions of what will and wont be in the game. Way more information than anyone will give you here.
The missing question: "Is it fun?" Yes. Somehow they got the formula right.
I beta'd and played the release of another very recent new game, and it (for me) never was fun. LotRO was a huge breath of fresh air after that experience.
I've come to the conclusion that you really can't tell much about a game from the feature list; the fun factor is just too elusive to live in the feature list.

Incorrect. If Turbine states it will be added after launch, it's misleading to say "no" to the housing question.
The correct answer is "not at this time, but Turbine has plans to add it after launch".

LOL... totally untrue.
With a forum name like that and looking at your post history, there's absolutely no credibility to your post.

Untrue huh? It is true i played the beta. I didnt even need the tutorials to know how to play a ministrel. Everything from skill trainers, to tradskills, to quests, to keyboard functions are ripped off wow? How did i know? The first time i loaded Lotr it feels like playing wow all over again.
Conjunctions
PvMP
Instruments and music playing
A fun healer class
Farming
Pipeweed
Burglar utility
Lore that isn't flexible and will stay true (this can be considered a bad or good thing)
Instanced epic quests
Cloaks that don't look like sh!t
Don't have to raid for the best gear
Instances will be fun and engaging, not boring and repetitive
A decent company behind the game despite what you think of DnD
A player base out the door, and no empty promises from Turbine
Player housing will be implemented later on, unlike WoW where it proberly won't be considered until they can't think of any more instances to add through expansions.
I havn't even mentioned the amazing graphics on the low res client, with water so real you will feel cold when you swim in it.
???? just like WoW ????
EDIT: I hope this also helped you OP
EDIT2: forgot to mention you can dye your clothes

There are so many things wrong with your post I barely know where to begin.
WoW was not the first mmo
WoW uses alot of methods used in past mmos
What is wrong with what works?
How about you actually look at LotROs features instead of how the basic function of an mmo works (see previous post)
I am eternally greatful you will NOT be playing

IT seems like you have played wow before, then you know what im talking about. Istanced dungeon like wow, map function looks like wow, hell ui is like cosmos interface, oh trainers look like wow, keyboard functions are exactly like wow, quest lines looks exactly like wow except it relates to lotr lore. Tradeskills are exactly like wow. Granted the only innovative about this crap is mpvp and character traits. Other then that everything is ripped from wow. And i dont think turbin is hiding that fact either.
We, gamers are not stupid. I had high hopes for Lotr, but after playing beta im really disappointed that turbine went that way.

Vanguarde, you're so obviously a complete idiot, it amazes me that you've survived this long.
You wrote the same thing in 4 posts on a single thread. And each time, you've been contradicted in clear terms by people with better information, and better skill at communicating their knowledge.
I spent nearly 3 months as a beta tester in LotRO, and I played WoW a few months. I honestly don't think you have any experience in LotRO. None. Not a minute. You don't know what you're talking about.
LotRO doesn't look like WoW, it doesn't feel like WoW, it doesn't play like WoW. At all.
I don't particularly care for LotRO, but that has nothing to do with WoW. I don't like WoW either. However, I signed up as a LotRO Beta Tester, and I've put in a lot of time Beta Testing their game, giving feedback TO THE DEVELOPERS, letting THE DEVELOPERS know what works and what doesn't, and giving them my opinion about their game. Nothing I've had to say to the developers for nearly 3 months has had anything to do with WoW. WoW and LotRO are two totally different games. Let me make this clear to you, since you have no first-hand experience with LotRO. They are NOT ALIKE.
Let me go back to the original point I'm making here. You, Vanguarde, are a total idiot, your posts here have been completely useless, and you know absolutely nothing about LotRO. The more you write here, the more obvious it becomes.
Now, you don't like LotRO. Fine. Don't play it. Don't beta test it, don't pre-order it, don't buy it, and DON'T PLAY IT! You need to just play WoW. You like it. You think the world revolves around WoW. Have fun at it!
But, don't post any more of your stupidity here. Please. You only make yourself look worse with each word. Nothing you say about LotRO is believable. It seems you read a few forum posts, and decided that made you informed enough that you'd try to convince people you really played LotRO. I doubt it. The things you say are just too stupid.

What part of my sentence dont you understand? Have you played wow? If not then you have no clue what im talking about.
If you have played wow before, then you KNOW exactly what i am talking about, in fact you can go do an analytical of the features right now in beta. I dont need to go and tell you which features are ripped from Wow, if you have played wow then you know i am right about this poop so called 'Lord of rings online".

Daring i had high hops that lord of rings would offer challenging gameplay and i had it pre-ordered only to find myself playing an easy game. I understood why they offered $199 lifetime membership as well. I dont mind Turbine coping some features from other games, but it felt like I WAS playing wow again because it looked like everything was familiar to me as if i was still playing wow. Vanguard offers challenge gameplay for me. Its hard to level up and the only features vanguard copy from wow was the skill trainer, other features was borrowed from eq2 i have to admit, but neverless vanguard offers challenge. I was truely disappointed that turbine went the other way, really had high hopes. But seeing healer class able to solo to high levels is just ridiculous. Healer class should never be able to get to level 18 easy without breaking sweat. At my rate of playing lotr beta id probably hit cap level before my 1st free month is up.
I need a hard challenging game , not hold your hands game like lotr.
I decided that leveling is too easy and stopped my ministrel at 18 and uninstalled the beta.

Well mister "I think this game sucks because its in beta and still being worked on" maybe you should try the game after the last patch. Its harder. Also, it is easy to see your a fan of Vanguard. I have nothing against you and I plan to try it when I get some more money to upgrade my computer. But please don't start to bash LotRO. It is a fun game, and now it is harder. Don't judge something before its done being made.

Game is a pure grind fest now, since they increased the XP amount needed to level up. This game nothing but fairies and pure grind.
