That's like saying Sonic the Hedgehog is a ripoff of Super Mario Bros. (the originals) because they are both platformer games.

Yes there are similarities,  as in all fantasy MMOs.  I think what will make this better for me is that you get 95% of your XP from quests and it's not based on PvP (like WoW is).   Also I think people will be more willing to group in this game if they make the quests right.
