    Playing in the Shire?

I think Erad Luin has a set of quest arcs you'd like better, part of the center of the realm/area has been overrun by Goblins and there are a bunch of arcs related to fighting through their strongholds there.

Bree-land also has more fights but I think the strongholds are generally smaller, except the Great Barrow and the Old Forest if you count it.

LOL yeah I know what you mean, there are a few good quests in the Shire and I am sure a lot of people will love that area, however I just want to kill things meself. Sneaking around a hen yard trying to gather eggs without the rooster spotting me was not my style either.

    I miss DAoC

    ROFL!

Give it a bit more time. Wait till you get out of the Shire and into Bree, the Lone Lands, The Barrows, North Downs.  There's some great fighting out there... fun fellowship quests.  Plus, you gotta bring your pie along if you want it. ;)

Eh, he doesn't really have to wait, except for doing the epic prologue.

    LoL,

Yeah thats what I thought.....what did you expect to be doing with a Hobbit, killing Trolls ???? Watch out for the hungry Hobbits, they will steal your yummy pies.

Hobbits: Like pie, like food, like smoking hobbit weed and drinking beer.  Clear Hobbit dislikes: violence and aggression. Sneaking pies past other hungry Hobbits sounds about right.

LotR is a Fable clone lol (/slaps knee,  ahhhh kick me in the head, I'm sorry couldn't resist........I'm a bad man)

Play a Dwarf. No pie running there.

Here's my advice. "don't do quests you don't want to do". Problem solved.

Do not think for one minute I am delivering mail, dealing with pies, or getting involved in hobbit nonsense.

There are so many quests that as soon as I see something like "Mary Ragbottom forgot to make her dumplings for the fair and now I need to bring them! Could you do me a great favor..."

that's when I close the window and go rescue someone instead. An Elf Guardian has no time for dumplings or pies. There's evil to be fought.

But Hobbits like Pie and dumplings bro, what could be more important???............wait.................Hobbit weed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to quest for epic Hobbit weed!!!

Honestly though, its is a nice change of pace from the usual "go kill 10 rats" sh*t or go grind outside of the town gate like so many other games. At least someone put alittle more effort then usual into it. Silly fun anyway.

    Oh, I completely agree!

This game is a refreshing change (can't believe I used the word "refreshing") from my regular L2 fare where I pretty much categorically refuse to do any more quests.

    Man

    I just dont get it.

Right now LOTRO is one of the only MMOs in which you gain all exp for Quests, and almost no for kill grind.

So you go and choose to play Hobbit ? Right , since you are in shire ...

So what should they do ? Shire was always peacefull area. Rest of Shire inhabitants didnt even know there was a war of the ring.

They had no warriors , nothing. Upon the end of the book whole shire was conquered by 2 armed men!

So it makes perfect logic that Hobbit quests (in shire are fed ex) Hobbits are peaceful farmers!

Try Dwarf area. There is no quest that doesnt involve killing something ... And generally I think Hobbits will be race to be played only by LOTR freaks
