First of all, the above link leads to the Ryzom open beta client that is hosted by Fileplanet. According to the Ryzom website: From April the 13th 2004 Fileplanet/IGN/Gamespy subscribers will exclusively be able to download the beta client from www.fileplanet.com until April 20th when the beta will be made available to all Fileplanet/IGN/Gamespy users. Meaning those who do not have a subscription to Fileplanet.com for the minimum price of 6.95 are forced to wait a week.

About activation keys, they are found after the download is done and during the installation. You can't miss it.

PS: There's also some deal with the game being distributed via DVD in some parts of Europe, however I don't really know (read: care) about the details.

    It does appear that IGN subscribers get pushed to the Fileplanet website. I guess you need an actual fileplanet account not and IGN account to get the file. I ended up trying fileplanet for a month since I couldn't figure anyway else to get it ....  Anyway once you get fileplanet access it is all pretty easy! But as far as getting it from IGN...I gave up...

    i signed up for gamespy back when they had lineage 2 beta account so really i paid $6.95 for ryzoms and lineage 2 beta heh, fileplanet aint to bad im getting 680kbps for ryzoms and was about the same for lineage.. i canceled my fileplanet account the day i opened it.. you get 1 month.

    not bad for $6.95

    cant belive people actually pay to be an ign member :/
