Okay, so it has always bothered me than when it rains in games the rain drops would fall through covered areas (not mainstream building, but like sheds and the like) and hit the ground. For some stupid reason that just always grated a nerve with me. Well, I just spent 5 minutes watching the rain fall while standing in on of the sheds at the logging camp. I'm happy to report not a drop hit the ground under the covered area the entire time. Yeah, I know, I need to get a life. Meh, life's are overrated.

Have to admit I agree with you. It's realy annoying when your wondering around in a building and it's raining, inside. Maybe they just haven't figured out how to make their roofs work yet.

Turbine did pretty good with the rain, yesterday I was watching it slash in a stream and it was pretty realistic. Also like you said they did real well with the collision detection also, no rain inside buildings Yay ! By the way did you notice how every now and then you get a little mist with the rain, sort of like a sheet of rain being blown bu the wind? I need to get up in the mountains I have not seen the snow since they were experimenting with it in beta 1.

I've only seen the rain so far and it is done very well. I did an instant travel from Rivendell to Bree. It was raining in Rivendell when I left and when I arrived in Bree it was raining there as well. Either the world doesn't have separate weather effects, or that was one big storm.

Just looked at weather.com and there is a rain band covering pretty much all of 2 medium sized states here in the US right now, so yes storms can be pretty damn big.

Man, I didn't notice the mist. Admittedly I was intent on catching the first rain drop to come through the ceiling and hit the ground. I did notice that my character, when he exahaled, you could see his breath. That was nice, though, I don't thing that happens when it rains in warm weather. Okay, it's time to make like the Middle Earth weather channel storm chasers and log in and hunt a storm. I want to see that mist feature! Plus I owe some Blackwolds a butt kicking with my newb champion.
