the new old forest

I just took my little 13 minstrel into the old forest and I was not sure what to expect, I had really enjoyed the old forest back in beta 1 and had read some posts where it had been newbified and was not sure what to expect. Seems as if the tiki torches have been taken out now, and on some of he paths stones mark the way. In others thee are no stones or whatever. I really like the way certain areas have been opened up a bit an found some spots in there I had never been.

All in all I think it was a pretty big improvement. I still came pretty close to dying a couple of time so you still cannot run through it helter skelter and have to proceed pretty cautiously or you will be having a bunch of elite trees and a couple od spider beating on your butt and the old spooky feeling has been retained extremely well. Still it is a lot less frustrating. Now you can manage to get lost for 15 minutes before finding a way out , whereas before you could walk in circles for 45 minutes sometimes.

Curious, was this on EU or NA beta?  I recall reading that they added lights to EU, but not NA.. I haven't been in there in a bit, but I thought it was still the same on NA still.

(EU = European Union, NA = North America, but I probably didn't need to expalin that - but just in case someone here hasn't seen the acronyms yet)

I agree, I like the new old forest , feels way more open and foresty feeling.
