Hi all-so I'm back in and having a really good time leveling a bothan spy..I see people everywhere on bria, at every place I go. new stuff being added to the game, with more to come, devs listening to the community, looks like things are looking up..what do you think?

I should say that it's a turn for the better...deffinatly.
Ahazi is getting crowded again, too.
Likewise Bloodfin's population is higher than it has been in over 1 1/2 yr. The good thing is I only see it getting higher with the reintroduction of CH/BE for all. Also the upcoming housing purge.
For sure things are looking up right now.
nah. You are just seeing the effects of people migrating to more populous servers. Still from the POV of someone on one of those servers its a good thing even if it means less players on less active servers. De facto consolidation.
Three full servers and 17 completely empty servers is better than 20 almost empty ones.
Chilastra too...I think most of the servers have probably seen some sort of increase.
The last I heard decay isn't coming back.
The game is more screwed up and boring than it's ever been imo. I've been playing on and off for the last year but some time ago I uninstalled the game for the first time since nov -03. I've done about everything there is in PvE and there's no way you can log on and PvP for fun every now and then. With the gcw-buffs nowadays you need to grind 1h a day to have a remote chance to survive.
And last I checked, the numbers had not changed. The only place there are some other players to be seen is at Restuss. All other cities are dead.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
I was there at SWG launch (and before), then left shortly thereafter. I just came back a month ago and have been absolutely loving it. It's so much better than it used to be (in my opinion - I realize it's a sore subject for some). Anyway, as a "newbie", I see and talk to a LOT of fellow newbies, and they're certainly more than just alts. These are people who have never played the game and either just bought the Complete Adventures or are playing the free trial. Chilastra, where I play, is crowded in spots and empty in spots.... but there are newbies everywhere.
Anyway, I'm totally digging it now and am glad I came back. I hope things continue to improve. My biggest complaint with the game post launch was that there wasn't enough "Star Warsy" content. I feel like they've listened to that and have really tried to address that problem. Vehicles, space adventures, fun combat, cool aliens (Ithorians?! I always loved them).... it just feels right now. Well, "mostly" right. Always room for improvement. ;-)

It should be thrown with great force"
Its not like it was, and I doubt any of us vets would say that.
But the population is noticably higher. It really is.
With the upcomming purge of dead weight player structures and the return of Creature Handler abilities..... there is hope. Add to that the increase in difficualty to PvE....and more hope abounds.
Its been a long 2 years away from SWG. I am glad I am back.
As your opinion mean little to us now. How bout you keep it to yourself. Since you may have hopped in 1 time in Dec at some point and you think you have a feel for the #'s yeah right.

I was there in December, and saw this: primetime in the hotspot of the game's most populous server (Mos Eisley on Bria) looked like an off-night in a backwater. Don't bother telling me how much improved it is over the NGE launch (I know it is). Until it is at least as good as Sept'05 (which looked like the aftermath of the CU launch, after the "summer people" had left), your "rebound" means little.
Come back when you've played CURRENT, troll. 1 time 4 months ago is not the current game.

Yep, Bria is overflowing as well. Actually getting lag from all the people, now!
I posted that decay was not coming back on page one of this thread.
Guess he didn't read the whole thread.
