Thinking About This Game.

A Couple Questions For Vangaurd. Is it anything Like EQ? Is it More Advance, As Like in Combat & Craft and Stuff? Whats Max Level?

Also Will the game run Smoothly On 4gb Ram & Geforce 8800 756mb Card?  How Much space those the game itself take up?

Vanguard is the most reminiscent of  EQ out of all MMOs. It's a step backward toward the old school style, yet it remains fun as hell and feels very new. Crafting can be played as an entirely separate game (or sphere, as it's called) and you aren't spoon fed everything for the next level. Max adventuring level is 50.

Should run smooth as butter on those specs. With me, at 2.4Ghz, 1GB RAM, 256MB v-card I get 30 fps on "Balanced" settings. The game itself is a whopping 17GB

vanguard is a good consept except for the exp in adventuring that atm i dislike its hard to get levels but as far as the world goes and the people in game it rocks . im a 17 shaman in game and having a blast .

when playing vanguard you cant help to think it is truely what eq2 should have been

think about this,5000 yrs in the future nothing is called what it was new gods new lands same humanoids, so it is very capable of making that stretch. at least in my own mind the world of noorrath has evolved into telon.

as much as i have problems with bugs i find myself at work wishing i was playing and when playing i enjoy the game .

as far as other mmop out there i loved them as well just dont go into vanguard making comparisons to anything other then eq1 or you might not enjoy it as much.

Some lead and some follow I prefer to stand beside!

If you liked EQ then I would say you would probably like VG.

Your rig should run it just fine but you may need to adjust to 8800 specific issues. They might have them fixed though. Also before you get into playing read the optimisation guide on silkyvenom.

The game takes alot of those great EQ elements and updates them with spectacular graphics and added crafting, harvesting, and diplomacy. Grinding XP may be slow, but what people dont get... (the ones that bitch) is that you get alot of XP from quest turn in. Doing quests in a smart way will get you lvling at a decent pace. You can also group or solo. Half the quests are for each. (approx) Nice thing... No Instancing!

The player base... (at least on targonor, where I am) is more mature than many games. If you act like an adult, you will be treated like one and get the help you want when you need it. Sounds to me like it may be a good one for you to try.

Actually, I have that card (8800 756) and if you also have Vista you're gonna get pissed off.  On Vista, my Geforce 7950 runs better than my Geforce 8800 756...I kid you not.

If you have XP DONT go to Vista until its fixed.  Otherwise you wont get as fast FPS as  you think you would with your 8800

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Yeah I've heard that too, the Vista drivers for the 8800's are horrible to the point I would say don't go to vista at all(well I say that anyway) but you get my point.  A year from now vista will probably run great with games but as of now eh not gonna see the OS on my system.

    Peace
