classes are actually quite detailed. Try to get a player up to 15 or 20 to see what skills they get available.

So far Burglars are my favorite. Very unique take on a rogue class imo. Im lovin it.

Remember that once you train a skill it can only be upgraded through use, so you wont get lv up duplications of skills for your classes.

i thnk its a great blend of class and skill based gameplay. Takes a little while to see its quite detailed.

Also read somewhere that they may bring in new classes later on down the road. We will see how if goes, and it is true that each skill gains levels or tiers.

As previously mentioned, a dev has stated that they basically wanted to get a core set of classes in and all working well and balanced, and then in an expansion or two introduce a few new classes that would have plenty of time to be balanced against the current version of the game.

The cool thing is they are already taking applications for a test server , so nothing will be thrown at us live , until it has been tested

This is a violation of the NDA I do believe. Please do not speak of it anymore.

? NDA is lifted! I also feel there are way to few classes, but if they do implement more in upcoming expansions, then I will be satisfied. Actually, to me it is more important that the classes that are implemented is done in a way that corresponds well to the lore of Middle earth and the books!

Which is what they have said they have attempted to do with the classes that are in.

As far as I remember it was a public announcement on the beta boards, which are no longer covered by NDA.

However, if he were accepted into the test server, he would be under NDA to not disclose the fact.

class balance can be a nightmare for developers.   That's why they are starting out simple, which is a great idea because new classes could also be something to look forward to in an expansion.

But honestly why have like 5 different DPS classes and 3 tank classes??   Then people constantly agrue/wonder which one is superior and which one is the weakest link.

Personally I would prefer a classless system, but I think that Turbine has is about as close as you can get within the confines of the Books. Loremasters are a bit of a stretch.

I would like to see a Ranger like class added, but it couldn't be over powered.

From what I have gathered from the more knowledgable, the term "Ranger" has a whole diffrent meaning in the lore of Middle Earth. It's importance is on the level of Wizard so I don't think we will see a class titled ranger. As mentioned, the Hunter class has been fashioned in the manner that most people think of when they hear Ranger (warrior with a bow, like long walks in the forest, communes with squirrels). Rangers, per ME, is something specific to a certain group of peoples, of which those heritage groups are not in the current players groups (yes, you can play a human, but not of the groups from which Rangers come from). Least that is my understanding. I'm sure someone more up on the lore will correct and fill in what I have stated (and I invite them too b/c misinformation is bad).
