Hard-copy Atlas or Player's Guide Coming?

Hi everyone,

I am surprise that in this era of "make as much money as possible" that a hard-copy atlas and player's guide has not been released.

I know that the second the books would be printed they would be outdated, but I have always enjoyed player guides (listing spells, equipment, talents, mounts, etc) for reading and learning when I can't play the game (i.e., commuting, bathroom reading, etc.).

A nice atlas, similar to the quality of WoW's atlas, would be very useful as well.

As anyone even heard of such a plan to release hard-copy atlas and/or player's guide?

Unlikelly to happen if it has not happened already.   These books are published by independent publishers.  They must have some assurance that there will be enough customers before they will go to press.  My guess is that the subscriber base is not large enough to justify the risk of publishing V:SoH guides.

I seem to remember a post from a dev saying that there would be no guides.  They might release something with hints in it, but they did not want to release any walk throughs or detailed info.

That is too bad.  I wasn't looking for walkthroughs but instead was hoping for detailed information about spells for all classes.  I like to research the end-game look of a character to determine whether a cleric at level 50 would be more fun to play over a level 50 shaman.

I also like to look at maps to help visualize the world (the in-game map is pretty weak in my opinion).

I know there are websites that are undertaking map creation and spell trees etc, but I still like the feel of a book in my hands. Plus, having a book helps me get my "fix" when I am away from my computer.  ;)

This book is listed on Amazon with the following blurb:

Availability: Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this title will be in stock again.
