Is it just me...

in Tales of Pirates

or is "Tales of Pirates"  "Pirate King Online" with a different name...  I'm not being facetious, I'm seriously confused.  They look identical to me... I even opened the two web sites in separate browser windows and compared the two, I honestly couldn't tell one from the other... the screenshots even looked the same to me!  I feel like I just stepped into the twilight zone... Are these two different games?

omg... maybe I consumed too much caffeine, or having hallucinations...

    as far as i know yes they r exactly the same except  TOP is for north america ( but any1 from any1where still can play it .. but the game events will be timed for NA ppl only ) ..

    i dont know why they are making another english one. sure the SP PKO does have some light lag for NA players and Euro players but its not that bad. i was playing all though beta and most of CB. only draw back is the lack of parties and really crappy quests.

    i cant see TOP being any better then PKO :/ same game. same mobs. same everything. only diffrance will be

    diffrent staff.

    diffrent timezone events.

    other then that its the same  seems like a waste to bother hosting another english version.  PKO isnt that popular anyway with BoTBs due out soon and other pirate themed games

    Glad someone made this topic already and got an answer, just got really confused. Was hoping this was a Pirate mmorpg game similiar to PKO but better and most options but guess i'm outta luck on that one. Saved me the trouble of downloading the client atleast.

    this game is seriously a cheap clone of PKO...I've studied it carefully since the first beta keys came out...Some features that PKO has...it lacks a little...Seems like a case of someone stealing the client, but messing it up afterwards and not being able to restore it without the knowledge...But maybe it's just me....I won't be surprised, tho, if PKO sues TOP.

    guess that's why see it being a great MMORPG. Yes it is

    pretty much the same as PKO, but nothing has been said

    about it Legaly...so I guess it's all good. I'm pretty sure that

    TOP and PKO are some way legaly Affiliated.

    I love the game.  As new as it is, it still has it's kinks, but the staff is doing a great job in fixing the problems.  I read their forums all the time, as well as make suggestions.  Yes, there are problems, but I can't see a reason to complain and whine about them this early in the game.  I mean it's a new game.  Still in BETA.  Give them time to go over the problems and fix them.  It's not an easy thing to do.  A lot of bigger problems would have to shut down the system to fix.   Now, I could see the pitching a fit if this game was older, not to mention adding a subscription on it.  But it's new and free, so no one has the right to complain about it.  If people don't like it, I say leave.  I mean all you're actually doing is trying to ruin a good time for everyone else.

    Emo: Kids who want to be different and individual, so they reform to the "Emo" persona. Just like every body else.

    these two game are different version. TOP  is North american version.
